Ruvati 15 x 20 inch Workstation Drop-in Topmount Bar Prep RV Sink 16 Gauge Stainless Steel - RVH8210

I really like this sink, but found the installation to be awkward. The little clips that come with it were nearly impossible to get to hold as I installed it. I followed the recommended guidelines for sizing, but only after cutting the hole did I realize how difficult it was to get the clips to hold as I screwed them in. The hole was cut exactly right, yet the clips held at a slight angle which pulled them off the built in clip receivers. I had to come up with a jig to hold them as I screwed them in. Otherwise I was under the sink cursing as they fell on my face repeatedly. Basically if you can’t fully fit both your hands completely around the sink from underneath, it’s almost impossible to install as directed. Now that it’s in, I love the sink, but I am certain there could be a better system to hold the clips than those tiny little metal bumps. For how expensive it was, I was surprised at how frustrated I was putting it in.

We have not installed this in our boat yet, but the quality seems very good. One of the clips attached to the sink was bent, but I think we will be able to work around that minor flaw when we install. We will update when installed.

Used this sink for the little kitchenette we built. It’s the perfect size. My husband and brother in law installed it and they didn’t seem to have any problems. But they are seasoned contractors so that probably helped. They both said it was well made. And I love the stainless steel. Easy to clean. I really liked the idea of having the wood top to turn the sink into more usable counter space. But I use it a lot less than I thought I would. I’m sure it’s much more of a practical function in something like an RV.

We bought a huge Ruvati kitchen sink and just LOVE it. So when replacing our bar sink there wasn’t a second thought about purchasing this sink. The features and quality are great. Ours did come missing the clips, but these can easily be obtained by calling the company.

The instructions say undermount however, top mounting clips with screws are included. I purchased RVH8210. Brackets are welded on two per side. To top mount this sink in a thick substrate such as granite, there would be a very shallow overhang to holding it in place because the brackets take up 1/4 of space. Front and sides would give you a lip overhang of 1/4-3/8, In back you could angle your cutout at the corners giving it more support. I suggest calling Ruvati to find out why the mounting instructions are for undermount only. The quality of this sink is 5 stars. The steel is thick, the accessories are so nice. The Cutting Board gives me a larger working area when Im not needing a sink.
