S SATC Strip Discs 5PCS Bule Stripping Wheel 4-1/2 x 7/8 Fit Angle Grinder Clean and Remove Paint Rust and Oxidation

I have always used chemical stripper to remove paint, but the main chemical methylene chloride cant be used any more, so chemical stripping no longer works. I was sceptical when i ordered these, but they work way better than expected. I stripped a HD gas tank with factory pain to bare metal in about 25 min, and it doesnt warp or cut into the steel at all, at all, zero. Front fender, rear fender and tank and the disk looks almost new. Pic of stripped fender attached.

Too powerful for most stripping jobs, will not work for stripping paint from wood at all cause it will grind away the wood too easily. Will even damage metal beneath paint/rust if not careful.

These disk did take paint off very nicely off my deck but wears down very fast. Making them rather expensive to use on bigger projects. Id say I did about 2x6 foot area before I had to change disks. But they do the job, just not much area per disk and for a big price in my opinion. The one from Harbor Freight lasted 2x to 3x longer. I dont think the material it is made from, works well with an angle grinder b/c it has a higher speed.

The product works exceptionally well and indeed gets the job done!

My local welding supply had a similar product that worked great, however were quite pricey. I decided to try these out and I am very impressed. Last as long as the one 3 times the price, maybe even longer. Unlike conventional grinding pads these do not take down the base metal once the rust is gone. Works well on rust, scale, paint, and body filler. Havent tried it out on anything else yet.

Good for stripping paint off garage floor.

SO worth the money to save time scraping paint off my garage. Had to be careful though, as it is easy to sand too deeply and eat into the wood.

The strip dusc last quite a while, but during first use it was quite unbalanced and cause a great amount of vibrations.

Used to clean stainless railing after welding. Worked well to remove berries and clean up without gouging or leaving grind marks.

Takes off just about anything (spray on bed liner to metal) wears out pretty quick but gets the job done and not bad for the price.
