Easy install. Give me about five minutes because I was watching the video and doing it at the same time

Hi I bought your ssd the thing works good it was very hard to install It took me about 45 minutes to do I broke part of the frame of the playstion the ssd was pain to put in the white part sticks heat sink together some of it came of it’s like cardboard white pieces to stick it In place it I wish I could get recplcment it was really hard to put in the screw the playstion came with to take off the meatle pice put heat sink in the screw would not come off had to go to ace hardware I got my frame back on playstation but I don’t know if has good it was bitch to remove the ssd dose work good it has a lot storage I do not know if it’s going last long and if ssd is faster than the ps5 itself I was really debating between this and western digital heat sink I just wish the adhesive did not come off when I opened the box I would send pictures but I really don’t want go through the hassle of taking it all apart again breaking anther pice of playstation I do have a lot more games on my ps5 and it was also hard to click the ssd in because I have big fingers all in all I would rate it 3.5 out 5 it was hard to install pice of my playstation broke off had buy new screws for ps5 faceplate pice broke off it took awhile to figure it all out the youtube video wear stressful and am not teaching but if I was older person I’d say forget it I would also recommend leaveing the covers off till you know for sure that everything install because it’s bitch get stuff back on off like I said it runs good and I have a lot more storage I just wish stuff was simpler like you could buy digital storage instead almost breaking ps5

I love all the space available on my ps5 for easy access to all games claimed through this year. all I worry about now is that I am using too much my ps5. I looked fully in to that but since I dont see any over heating or tear graphics on 3rd party ps5 games like Hot Wheels unleashed call of duty vanguard, fornite, even cyberpunk 2077 plays great installed on the sabrent SSD.

PS5 storage expansion now its all about the games baby !

So I bought my 1st PS5 earlier this month, model 12xx and I got this at 1TB with heatsink cover. Took me longer to install cuz my first time trying to take off the PS5 cover, and it does go in easily. However, I just noticed watching install videos(after I already put in mine), the little spacer on my PS5 does not go in to the PCB board like on all the videos, mine is different, it sits on top of all the holes on the PCB, so as soon as I unscrew it there is no way it stays in place by itself. What I did was stick the little screw driver through the spacer and into the PCB hole, slide the SSD in slot, use the screw driver then to pry/nudge the SSD into the slot, very gently, cuz fat fingers, again, gently take out the screw driver so the spacer stays in place to align screw. Put the rest together, formatted through PS5 1 time, showing 65xx mb/s and 1.02TBs free space.

Be sure to download and install the full 1 gig firmware update from PlayStation website. If the PS5 doesn’t see your thumb drive, try using a different one. It must be a 2 gig thumb drive. Buy this SSD because it comes with a heat sink that fits in the ps5.

First time removing the covers on my PS5 and installing anything like this into a consol. Super easy to install, just needed a screwdriver to remove the original cover but other than that, works great. Had to format it to my ps5 which I figured I would have to do.

This installs very easily, with the trickiest part being getting the cover off (which is super easy). The heat sink is well designed, and provides a cooling advantage over standard installs (directs heat out of the case). Additionally, it provides a touch of the cool factor for those of you that intend to install a clear set of covers on your system, because the heat sink design would be visible.

I bought this because it was good value for the money. It’s been installed for about a month and working ok.
