> 3 dayJust gotta say, Ive been using Sabrent for every PC I build. They are fast, reliable, and they are wallet friendly! I recently purchace this Sabrent 1T Rocket so I can have a dedicated NVMe drive for my gaming PC. Set up was quick, easy, and the speed will.absolutly stomp any HDD or 2.5 SSD. Just make sure your motherboard is NVMe comparable before purchasing. If it is, but one for your boot drive (500 gig) and one for all those sweet games you got :D. If your looking for speed and reliability, than this is the storage device for you! Pros: Speed, Reliability, Warranty, Cost Efficiant Cons: None so far, never had a drive go bad on me yet. * Just make sure you but a Heatsink for the drive, I recommend the Sabrent brand for this one. It keeps it cool even while gaming for 7 hours.

24-11-2024First impression is always the packaging, and this company does it right. I had a 970 Evo package to compare it to which was basically just a box and some plastic. This comes in a metal tin and a box which is definitely nice if you ever need to take it out of your machine and store it temporarily you can use the tin case. I upgraded my HP Onyx Blizzard i7 7700hq, 12gb ddr4, 1050m 4gb, 1tb 7200rpm seagate with this Sabrent 512gb m.2 SSD and some Corsair Vengeance 16gb DDr4 2400mhz. The Sabrent alone made a HUGE difference . Also something to note is that the speed ratings are a bit slower the lower the model you buy. So the 1tb / 2tb are the faster drives, but really great value and a really fast drives! The 512gb is about as fast as or faster than a 970 Evo / Pro. I would definitely recommend this product so far, although Ive only been using it for a few days. If it fails Ill be sure to update my review but so far the only negatives (and this is for all m.2 SSDs) is that it doesnt come with a screw to install it with, lol..

> 3 dayWorks, was packaged well, and had no defects. Im sure this will last me untill ARK alone becomes 1TB. Until then however, this thing is doing me just fine! I use it for video and photo storage as well as gaming. My most important games go on it along with my mass dumps of vids and photos. Fast transfer from there to wherever I choose: server, Google, sd cards, whatever. This one has been in 2 pcs so far. Bang for buck Turbo Panda

> 3 dayabout 10 months ago, I initially wanted to return this when I could not get it to work in an M.2 slot on a brand new Asrock B450 motherboard for my Ryzen 2600X processor. It turned out that this was a BIOS issue and not an issue with the Sabrant M.2 SSD device itself. A quick BIOS flash on the Motherboard later, and I finally managed to get it to work and install My primary OS (Linux). Because of these BIOS issues, i gave this a three star rating for ease of install. I am very pleased with the drive ever since i got it to work. Its extremely snappy in everything I use it for, including loading games and very large 1GB+ pictures. I would provide Screenshots depicting its full capabilities, but I wanted to get this long overdo review out of the way. I would absolutely buy more of these for other systems and laptops. I have in fact tested this not just in my desktop, but an MSI gaming laptop as well, and it worked, though i upgraded the laptop BIOS before I tested it.

> 3 dayThis is my second 500 GB NVME SSD. Performance wise (using ATTO benchmark) shows the speed as advertised. recently, I bought this piece of SSD with the bargain price ( probably because of the faster , bad-ass PCI-E 4.x4 NVME just lauch ) regardless , The warranty is 5 years (registration required) with pcb made in Taiwan, and good 800 TBW Endurance , this is the ONe. I couldnt be happier :-) . the only Cons is there is no SSD software tools (like Samsung Magician.) and..oh..regarding the working temperature..after benchmark, the idle temp increase from 22 C to 39 C and decrease to 24 C ...OMG...it never happen before. Usually i ended up with max temp around 49 C ..i dont know why. Is it because of a really good cooling..(I have heatsink on top SSD and casing fan ) and/or because of the NAND and Controller ?? maybe both. I havent tested the copy/paste file transfer. just want to see how much SLCs Ram it has. maybe later. as conclusion this is the best choice in term of performance/price ratio .

> 3 dayI own a number of the Samsung devices and like them just fine, so Im not slamming them at all. But this Sabrent unit seems to work the same for me as the more-expensive devices. In a pandemic world, if I can save substantial money and not short myself on performance, thats a plus. I just installed the device today, so I cant attest to its long-term stability. But Im a happy camper thus far. One thing of note is that Ive often had issues getting the Samsung devices to clone/install/boot. With the Sabrent, I put it in a USB-C external enclosure, fired up MiniTool Partition Wizard Pro and the clone process went off without a hitch. The Lenovo Flex5-1570 booted perfectly from the cloned Sabrent, which has not always happened with the Samsungs, even though I use the same methodology. (I owned a computer business for years and are relatively savvy, so I dont think my issues have been operator error.) Not sure what would account for this difference between the two brands, but its kinda moot now, as Ill likely stick with the Sabrents in the future. I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayTL/DR: If you plan to do a fresh OS installation, this thing will be a breeze to install. Super fast, and you can’t beat the price. So I decided to try out this brand I’d never even heard of, simply due to it’s amazingly low price point. I was initially concerned about the drive not coming with native 512emulation, which could cause issues cloning from older drives. After reading all the reviews (here and elsewhere) I thought, “what the heck, my computer skills arent bad... I’m sure I can handle it.” *YIKES* With no native 512emulation, you need to download the conversion software from SABRENT’s website to convert to 512e, and then you can run your cloning software. The cloning process went fine, but I simply couldn’t make a bootable clone. I tried multiple times. Seems going from an old sata mechanical drive to this m.2, was just too much change. Even repairing the windows installation couldnt make it functional. Finally ended up just doing a fresh install of Windows 10 and everything went smooth. Drive is ultra fast, huge, and the price was simply unbeatable. Will I purchase one of these again in the future? Absolutely. I went into this thing knowing about the cloning issue, so I feel confident giving this thing a 5-star rating. Just do yourself a favor... if you aren’t cloning from the exact same drive type (m.2>m.2) just do a fresh install of your OS and save yourself a bunch of hassle.
