Greater than one weekI watched a lot of different videos to make my decision on this purchase. For the money I’ve been extremely happy. The read write speeds are as good as advertised and with a heat sink this hard drive really performs amazing!!! I’ve just transferred 6 games approx 400gb from main HD to the Sabrant and it took less than 5 minutes, Awesome!!! Now comes the longevity test and hopefully the next review on that will be as good as this review.

> 3 dayThis is the best of the best, with TLC now the only option, theres no reason not to go with this, if you can work with the price. I’ve never been let down by Sabrent, but never try any of those “Q” SSDs, they peddle, especially for reading and writing a large quantity (I.E. gaming). Heads up that this is the only one that actually meets the PS5 requirements, the other gen black and gold reversal and white and gold SSDs 4 DO NOT. It it hasn’t been confirmed as comparable, with but my moneys on this being on the list Sony puts out, heres hoping gen 4 SSDs go down in price once the PS5 can actually expand storage come summer, otherwise you’re basically buying another console to expand storage.

> 3 dayIf you want to instantly bottleneck every other device you send files to from this drive pick it up. The only thing faster than this would be an array of other NVMe drives in raid. Its crazy how fast it actually is. I moved a game library to it and each game was seconds in transfer speed. Incredible

22-11-2024If youre adding another hard drive to your PS5 this is the heatsink you want. Fits perfectly, runs cool, and looks great.

> 3 dayI have had my drive for just under 3 months and the SMART stats on drive durability seem to be dropping very rapidly. The drive has has very light use in terms of reads and writes but the health is listed at 95%. I have never had the SMART stats drop this fast with my Samsung drives given roughly the same usage parameters. Support was not really much help. They insist this is normal and for some reason keep wanting me to bench mark the drive for performance. Would recommend spending the extra $30 on a Samsung 980.

> 3 dayWas looking for a replacement for my 2017 27 Imac, as the original SSD Fusion drive is a known bottleneck - ended up trying this out as a bootable drive via the Thunderbolt. Granted - its another piece of kit attached to the computer (using a Sabrent EC-T3NS case), but it has TOTALLY transformed speeds in all respects - boots up like a new M2 mac, and saved me a fraction of what it would cost to get a good Mac working on a 27 screen - tbh the Imac screen is really second-to-none, so am pleased I didnt have to ditch that or get a fandangle widget to hook up a not-so-cheap Imac mini.
