Very disappointed with this watercolour set. Paint quality very poor when compared to similar priced student grade paints. I would say this set is suitable for children, however, a much better quality watercolour set can be purchased at less than half the price of this set. Paint was chalky and did not mix well but I will say that the neon shades are lovely and the metallics are acceptable. The palettes are plentiful and the case sturdy but paint pans could have been spaced just a little farther apart to prevent mixing of colours. One of the included water brushes leaked at both the seam and brush, and controlling water flow is quite a challenge even for the skilled water brush user. Do not recommend and will not buy Koi paints or brushes again.

I love these paints! The colors are amazing and blend well. It is great to travel with.

Amazing. I love this so much. Its smooth and nicely pigmented so you dont have to use much to get bright colours and the white is pure and stands out. The sponge is removable so you can wash it which is an awesome feature and I really like the brush it comes with

This field set is awesome! The colors are vibrant and its the perfect size to carry along with you. I put them in a canvas pouch with a cloth napkin (for cleaning my brush) and Im on my way - Ive brought them to work, on trips, you name it! The palette design is also wonderful because it hooks into the case, making it easy to color anywhere. Very happy with this set!

So, so disappointing. ALL of the colors are very grainy. Im not new to painting or watercolor. Its more grainy than any other brand Ive used in my life...15-30+ obvious particles per square cm, on all colors. Childrens sets are better than this. I wish I hadnt wasted my money!

I love this watercolor set! Its small enough to carry around, but has more than enough colors to make me happy! The moveable mixing tray is perfect. The one thing that I dont understand is how to use the lid as a mini-easel. I could easily put a small piece of paper in it, but as soon as I put any pressure on it, like from a brush, it doesnt stay upright. Maybe youre meant to hold the back up with a finger or two? That part doesnt matter to me, though, as I typically paint in a Strathmore watercolor journal. All in all, Im very happy with this purchase! I usually put the mixing tray in the top two holes, as shown in the pic, but it fits easily to the side and bottom, as well. Whatever works for you!
