Ive used this string for tarp tie outs and made super light weight carabiners out of it. It is strong but a bit slippery. Slippery is good for the carabiners, but using it for tarp tie outs requires some knot knowledge. I wouldnt use it as a taut line without some device for holding it taut. I have those things so this string works well for my needs. If you plan to use this for backpacking I highly recommend it. Use you ingenuity and imagination to make it useful in lots of applications. For other uses, well, I cant speak to that.

Not cheap but absolutely well worth it. Very well made and effective.

If you learn the basics of using hollow core cordage, the possibilities for this stuff are endless. I have made continuous loops, hammock ridge lines, tent ridge lines, as well as guy lines. Used for bear hang as well. It does get tangled up and you need to know how to use a stick for pulling up unexpectedly heavy loads when the people you hike with tend to over pack food and want to share your bear hang cord.

A little stiff with some memory at first but after unrolling it and stretching it the line has worked fine.

Best cordage in the world. I also love splicing the ends together.

Slick rope slides easily, but one has to pay attention to the knots to make sure they hold. A friend splices eyelets in it, but I havent the dexterity.

Runs really nice out of a throw cube but still has a bad tendency to birds nest once in a while

I decided to use this as my go-to cord for camping. I use it for my ridgeline on a 13 x 20 tarp with a couple of cam-locks and it never loses tension. I can hang and dry camping gear and still doesnt lose tension. It also holds up perfectly in the rain. I also use for all guyline/tiedowns and has proven to be exceptional. It also packs down super small compared to paracord. Probably the best camping accessory Ive owned.
