Works as advertised for the price advertised. Not the best bang for your buck but definitely a solid drive as long as it shows up new and untampered with.

Great SSD, not the fastest but reliable and cheap

This SSD has great value--it installs easily and is very, very fast. One TB of storage is plenty.

Apparently there are some known bugs in the Samsung magician software V 7.0 that comes with the drive. Amazon does not care because they make money selling faulty product. I wasted HOURS on a firmware update with no progress bar and luckily I didnt ruin the hardware by restarting the PC! Also the software often fails to launch. Despite all the problems and stresses with this both Samsung corporate and Amazon corporate fail to do anything whatsoever to compensate me for this aside from return it!!! Do the people that set these policies even work with computers and know just how unrealistic that position is once You have all data transferred and installed in a Laptop?

Bought this to replace the disk drive I was using as my 2nd drive. The ssd is much faster, even bootup and shut down is faster

It was a simple install and it works great...no hassle at all. I love it. I have my system set up with 3 drives...2 SSDs...one for the OS and one for installed programs and a large hybrid drive for data. This replaced a smaller SSD so I would have more room for software. Bi just copied everything over to the new drive and that was it. My OS drive is an earlier version and I havent had any issues with it at all. I highly recommend Samsungs SSDs.

Throughout my many years in tech, I have found Samsung products to be very reliable and often leaders of the pack. Their SSDs are no exception. This model is outstanding in performance, speed and reliability. I cloned my 2TB HDD to this drive and I now get around 3 times the speed of the old HDD. Excellent drive. Great value.

Used on a simple Intel PC running Ubuntu. Loaded and working in a matter of minutes.
