Greater than one weekPurchased the 2TB unit. I ran speed tests, and everything looked great.. speeds matched the 3500 read/write advertised. I also bought a EKWB EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink, Black to compliment this which also worked out nicely to keep the temps low (maxes out at 46c during benchmark tests - good). Happy with my purchase and would gladly buy again.

> 3 dayI needed some additional storage for my new LG Gram laptop (17Z90Q) and after doing some research, decided on the Samsung 1TB 970 EVO Plus SSD. The laptop came with a Samsung 1TB Solid State Drive so it made sense to me to keep within brand.

18-11-2024I bought this to replace my Samsung 1TB SSD as my main drive as I read these are way faster. It was easy to install and made my gaming machine even faster. 2 TB capacity and Samsung quality to boot. I bought this one as I read the 980s have a lower MTBF. No problems after install.

> 3 dayInstalled on a Aquacomputer KryoM.2 Evo PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter to replace our 1TB Sansung 850 Pro SSD on an Apricom PCIe card. Installed them in our 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 (flashed to 5.1) dual 6-core 3.33 Ghz 32GB RAM with a MSI Gaming Radeon RX 560 128-bit 4GB GDRR5 DirectX 12 VR Ready CFX Graphiss Card (RX 560 AERO ITX 4G OC) running Mojave. EASY super simple installation since we booted off the 1TB Samsung 850 Pro SSD then used SuperDuper! macOS app to clone our boot drive to the Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe m.2 flash drive. Then just selected the 970 EVO Plus as the Startup Drive in Settings and Restart. BOOM Like buying a new Mac.

Greater than one weekWhat a clown show! Kernel panic reboots abound! Samsung claims they have a firmware update for it, but you need to copy it to a USB drive on a WINDOWS machine or some third party freeware, then you have to menu boot your mac and select the usb to update, rub your head in one direction and your bell in the other etc..., well, THAT DOESNT WORK EITHER! shame on samsung, ill never buy their crap again after going through this ridiculous nightmare.

> 3 dayI purchased two of the Samsung 970 EVO Plus m.2 solid state drives for my Synology DS720+. My primary purpose wasnt to necessarily speed up the I/O, but hopefully quiet down the chatter from the two hard drives as the NAS sits right behind me on a shelf while Im working.
