Negatives... - Needs to be brighter; the highest setting may not be able to overcome bright lights (office or sun) - The Right Angle power plug is a failure; it leads to the outside of the monitor instead of toward its own cable management bracket, so the cable needs to be flexed back 180 degrees. And a straight plug will not fit due to the heavy duty 3-prong plug required. Positives... - Adjustability--pan, tilt, height, rotate - Flat base provides usable space for small items; not overly large or small - Dual-HDMI inputs - Matte screen finish to negate glare I needed a 22 monitor with height adjustment and dual-HDMI inputs, as well as a Samsung to appease my OCD by pairing up well with my other Samsung monitor, and this was one of the few options (even aside from being a Samsung) that fit the bill. It cost about 40% more than similar commercial monitors, but it does come with the 3 year warranty. If it were not for the limited brightness and the funky power cable issue, this would definitely be a 5 star product. - Dual-HDMI inputs

Easy to assemble. I needed a height adjustable and tiltable, both portrait and landscape settings. Packaging of all cables was neat, good quality product. It would be great if inbuilt speakers were included, but with my laptop this dual screen will work fine.

Bought 2 of these 20 months ago. 1 of the 2 started flickering occasionally within the first week. I should have returned it, but I had too much going on at the time and dint want to deal with the hassle. If you get one of these and you see anything like this my advice is to return it when you can. The problem just got worse over time. And I put up with it because it was intermittent (and I was using 3 other monitors on the same computer so Id just turn it off when that started happening. Now Ive given up, the flickering is now constant. Ironically Im ordering another. Why --- because its cheap. Whats different is Ill follow my own advice this time and return it if theres any sign of issue. The other monitor has worked without issue. So at this rate, Ive got a 50% chance I dont get a bad one.

The picture quality is good and the design is nice. Unfortunately, after just one year the panel is dying. I use this monitor as an extended display with my work PC. The monitor continually turns off and on while in use. Ive switched HDMI cables, HDMI ports, PCs, and power sources. Same problem every time. Contacted customer support who gave me links to support centers (2 of the 3 were of no help) so I get to drag this thing to Best Buy to see if they can fix it. In the meantime (I know, first world problem) no monitor.

So everything you see above shows you can rotate the monitor to switch between landscape (wide) and portrait (tall). Does not work on the 27 model. The height of the stand is too short. The corner of the monitor hits the base. Needs another 1-2 clearance. Easy setup, easy connect. Nothing terrible about a monitor in general. Just got it, more review/update later. One issue is that the monitor does not autosense which input is providing feed. So youll need to set it appropriately as required. Mine was default to DP, but was trying to use HDMI. Stumped me for a good minute as Ive not seen an non-autosensing monitor in a good long while. Finally, realized I had to set it manually and was up and running in no time. No dead pixels that we can see.

This is an external display for use with a laptop. The colors are crisp, the brightness is great, and the built-in USB hub is perfect for connecting external devices. The adjustable height made it easy to integrate into an enclosed desk setup as well.

Easy set up, works well for data processing tasks. Not sure about gaming as I don’t use it for that. Simple set up, no speakers : mic included

This adjustable stand is as worse as I have ever saw over the last decades. The reason is simple: manufacturer is working hard to save cost. But cost saving should not cause poor quality of the stand. The stand is ok to use as long as you don’t touch it. Samsung please look how Dell and HP design their adjustable stand. The worst problem is during installation: if you don’t pay attention, this stand can shoot up suddenly and may kill your face or eyes, I was lucky as my face was just a inch above where it shoots up.

The color is great on this monitor and the display is sharp. The size fits my computer desk. I did not give a 5 star rating because the Quick Start setup instructions did not have sufficient information, and I had to download the manual. The monitor display did not come on until I started playing with the JOG Button, and discovered the Display Port had to be changed to HDMI1 (which is the port I used on my computer).

The Samsung FT450 Series is a budget-friendly business monitor with comfortable ergonomics, advanced image quality and modern design. IPS panel technology delivers crisp type and colorful images, even at off-angles. Thin bezels help to make dual monitor configurations more seamless. Connectivity is made simple through dual HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, along with an HDMI to DVI converter for legacy applications. The fully adjustable stand helps to make long days more comfortable.
