> 3 dayI was shopping around for an affordable tablet (under $300) to read comic books and watch videos on. I narrowed my choices down to the budget/entry-level iPad, Kindle Fire 10, and this tablet. The iPads screen (9.7 inches) isnt ideal for full-page comic reading, and I was never a fan of the Fire HD operating system, so I paid a bit more for this Galaxy tablet which runs the latest version of Android.

> 3 dayIts a big upgrade from my Nook HD 7. I cant focus on reading the screen as well as the Nook HD and that may be the 60 Hz screen refresh rate. The display has a lot of blur in video with motion in it. It does seem a little laggy sometimes when opening or closing things. I frequently have to tap the screen more than once to register a hit in the apps. And the free apps are really heavy with ads and I just uninstall them. This was bought to replace my reading and video watching device and I gained 2 cameras and better internet browser and Email experience. Theres much more to explore and utilize. I am enjoying a game called Classic Labyrinth 3d. The tilt controls with this game are excellent. Now I also have google maps with GPS and I should get a lot less lost now. It is working well with downloaded offline maps. Even with some multi taps on screen, I am happy with it, and excited to find out how else I can utilise this Sammy tablet.

Greater than one weekIts the best tablet Ive ever had. Its been with me for a month. No lags, no frezze, no resets. Ive used for netflix, social network and web browsing. Its been perfect for my needs. The 32gb 2gb is ok, i stored some downloades movies and my music. I still have more than half of memory empty.

18-11-2024The tablet was fine for three months. I loved it, then I started getting this strange warning about moisture in the charging port and I couldnt get it to charge. I immediately contacted Amazon who told me to contact Samsung as it was under warranty. I did. Samsung had me send the tablet in to them and after six weeks they emailed me telling me that it couldnt be repaired because the part to fix it is unavailable. They offer an exchange and I agreed. I just wanted my tablet back because I like to read ebooks in bed and I hate reading on my phone. Fast forward over a week and I still dont have my tablet. It turns out, Samsungs service department wasnt fully honest when they told me they were sending the tablet right out to me. They had to get approval for the exchange and once they had that they would contact me sometime within ten business days following the approval. Okay, Im a bit angry over that and thought I had misunderstood, but I did have two witnesses listening in on the conversation who heard the same thing about the tablet being sent over a week ago so Im not completely insane.

It did become slow over the years I had it but when I first got it and used it daily it worked for emails, web browsing and more . It was fast and the picture is beautiful . This one worked better than the new ones on the market now .

> 3 dayFantastic device! I was looking to upgrade from an older tablet. I was not a fan of older Samsung Galaxy tablets that still had the home button at the bottom. This one has minimal bezels, just a clean nice look with mostly aluminum back--it feels like a premium device. Build quality is excellent, and performance is excellent as well. I am not an extreme power user, but not a basic user either. Browsing and apps are all quick, screen is excellent and bright. For browsing, youtube videos, basic apps like Dropbox, ESPN, etc., the 32gb version with 2gb RAM works well.
