Bought this based on review. Added it to my Y520, the touch pad and keyboard on laptop stopped working. I can only use a separate keyboard and mouse but laptop is so sluggish, have to remove it and laptop works perfectly afterwards

I received the RAM after about a month of waiting. Shipping was okay and somewhat timely. I proceeded to install the RAM after I received it and it turned out to be faulty. The part number and serial was exactly the same as in my laptop and my laptop worked just fine without the faulty card. I tried pretty much everything I could, reseating the RAM, trying different slots and even inserting into an another computer. My computer always failed during a bootup to Windows, resulting in a black screen.
