I havent had this tablet very long. I like the silver and white color. It isnt the most responsive or fast. I have the previous tab a and thought I would upgrade. It really isnt an improvement but still a decent tablet. My issue is the smart case which I purchased for this tablet. It says its a smart case which it probably is but the tablet does not respond. Evidently it never will as the tablet doesnt have a sensor for that. So why make a smart case when the tablet cannot use it? Otherwise at this point its just ok. I have both sizes of iPads and both sizes of Kindle fires. They are all better tablets but I really like my Google play books and music. The 10 inch tab A is much better also.

It is the second one I have owned. For the price you can not beat it. I paid $190 for my first one at a big box store. This one was only $120

This is the worst tablet I have ever owned. It freezes all the time, and stays frozen. You have to turn off the tablet to unfreeze it, then you lose whatever it is youve typed. Its useless to me. Ive worked on cheap, no-name brands that have worked better than this. The screen shot feature is so inconvenient; I dont know what they were thinking. The home page starts in the middle. Just why? A reviewer here said it was about bloatware. The charging cord is too short. The clipboard is more mysterious than it should be. I researched tablets for 2 weeks in tech magazines before I bought this. I have never returned anything to Amazon before so I am really disgusted by the whole experience. I may never buy another Samsung product after this. There are no mid- priced 7 and 8 inch tablets. You either buy junk or shell out a ton of money for something that works. Asus had a great 8 inch tablet but iPad and Samsung hold most of the market now. iPads are just too expensive and this Samsung is just crap.

Had this tablet less then 6 months and the auto rotate feature just stopped. Tried all the online fixes including total reset. Has been carefully handled and kept in a case. Never dropped or damaged in any way. No warning, just suddenly stuck in portrait mode.

I gave this tablet a 5-star rating because it works as advertised. I knew what kind of tablet I wanted and this certainly fits the bill. I wanted a simple tablet for surfing the internet; reading the news; keeping notes and my calendar. It is also good for social media video chatting on Google Duo or Facebook Messenger or Zoom Etc. The 8-inch screen is perfect for me. Much easier than using my cell phone. And easier to carry around than a larger tablet. This is not the tablet to do a lot of advanced or professional graphics. The battery life definitely is good; the touch screen works very well; and if you are Android phone user this will seem like an old friend. The speaker work OK but not really loud. Get a small Bluetooth speaker or earbuds if you want to listen to music. Make sure to get yourself a nice case to protect it and to provide you with a better grip. I suggest the Moko lightweight case which is under $10. The Amazon Fire HD tablet is nice as well but I wanted the full Android flexibity. So overall, this is a great entry level tablet for general use. The price was fantastic. And on the second day, it upgraded to Android 10. I recommend this tablet.
