I feel like this monitor was designed to relieve eye fatigue. Im aware it has an eye-saver mode, but even when that isnt active, the color on the monitor is very soft. It doesnt display blue properly. Im very familiar with adjusting color balance to get the image I desire and theres nothing I can do to get this monitor to look the way I want. I use two monitors and my other monitor displays colors correctly so the difference is hard to miss. The best way I can describe the color tone is nicotine stained. Ive played some games on it and I cant find anything to complain about in games, outside of poor color rendering. For the price, and Samsungs reputation for making the highest quality LEDs on the planet, I really expected more out of this monitor.

I bought these on sale for my home office and they are perfect. The color is great and I do seem to notice a difference with the eye saver mode. They were easy to install and set up. Im not a gamer, but these are just what I wanted for my office.

High definition monitor works well for gaming and regular work. Good picture quality and brightness. It would be better if the monitor stand can adjust up-down angles and height. Very easy to set up and light weight.

For the lower cost theres higher resolution available. This units quality is fine except for the price port.

What I mean by the title is... Ive had this monitor for a few weeks now, testing it. In the end, it was a good monitor, but I didnt feel it was worth the $240 it was listed at then, since I also just gotten a 27-Inch Lenovo that was just as good, for $220. I know Samsung is a more reputable company, but that doesnt justify its higher price for a 24-Inch monitor, especially since we have so many good ones nowadays - you can get a 1080p 32 monitor for the same price. But now that its right around $200, I can recommend it, as it is a good monitor. It is an IPS screen, so it has better viewing angles and contrast than other types of LED panels, such as TN screens. So it would be better for business applications, and watching videos/movies, more than gaming, as TN monitors are better suited for those fast-paced uses. The overall general public should choose IPS screens since its overall better suited for everyday use. It also has very slim bezels, and I like the angular base and design - it has a modern, sleek look. To be honest, since the 27 version is not much more expensive, if you have the budget and space, Id go for that one. Just my personal preference I cannot do desktops fewer than 27, but I understand people have different requirements, such as space constraints, or in a business setting. In the end, there were no issues with this monitor, and I happily use it as a secondary monitor to extend my laptop when I use it on my desk. I recommend it if it doesnt go above the $205 price.

I am a fan of Samsung and ordered two of the 22-inch monitors for my home setup. Out of the gates I could not get a signal through the Displayport input in the first monitor. The input looked a little off kilter, but I could still plug in the cable just fine. I engaged in detailed troubleshooting with our helpdesk, updated firmware, drivers, etc. across all my components. We then confirmed that it was a hardware problem with the Displayport because the second monitor worked fine. There was no damage to the box or shipping materials, so it appears this monitor was defective from the start. The seller was very responsive, but had none left in stock. So I had to return them both. I would give Samsung another try, but this was an unfortunately a time-consuming event that resulted having to go with a different brand.

QUICK SUMMARY: The colors are good on this display, but the manufacturing process that assembled these monitors needs some fixing. BACKGROUND: I got this monitor to extend my work-from-home desktop displays. WHAT I LIKE: - Vibrant IPS colors met my expectations (and Im picky about vibrant colors) - Comes with a standard HDMI and a DVI to HDMI cable - Refresh rate is smooth, I didnt notice any ghosting in the display - No backlight bleed visible - Sturdy stand, the monitor does not wobble from desk typing vibrations WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: - Very short power cable, however its a standard computer D-Plug so I was able to use a different one - Some of the monitors Styrofoam packaging got stuck between the screen and the bezel (see my review photo). Worse, I cant extract that Styrofoam either! Its stuck inside the monitor! - The monitor has several defective spots in the screen. These are not dead pixels, but rather detritus that got in the display and causes small dark spots. Clearly, Samsung lost good quality control over their manufacturing people or partners who assembled these monitors. CONCLUSION: For Samsung quality and Samsung prices, I expected this monitor to be flawless. However, there are too many small issues to give it a glowing overall review. I like the colors but the defects make me unhappy. Good thing Amazon has a great return policy, so if you get a monitor like this, send it back ASAP. Carefully inspect the whole monitor before the 30-day window for returns expires. Overall, I dont recommend this monitor because of the manufacturing quality control issues.

This is a great little monitor but in spite of its refresh rate, not gonna be one for long-haul gaming sessions. It has great color quality with minimal tweaking needed, good viewing angles and refresh rate of 75hz. So its a solid computer for work and whatever else you do, but may not make somebody wanting serious performance happy. Easy to mount on a monitor arm, which you will want to plan on using because the stand for this thing is TERRIBLE. Cheap, and not adjustable.
