I keep getting out of memory errors in Photoshop CC (2020) and needed a solution fast for the scratch disk(ie swap file) without buying a new computer. Photoshop wont read an external USB drive, SD or my 128GB microSD(on D drive) as a scratch disk. It seems Adobe only accepts a hard drive as scratch disk. The solution was this SanDisk 500GB Extreme Portable External SSD . I made this drive the primary and only scratch disk for Photoshop.

Greater than one weekBy far the fastest and smallest SSD Ive ever used. Go for the 1TB version, you wont regret it. I didnt think Id use this as frequently as I do but with the size and speed, it comes with me everywhere I go. Great for GoPro scratch disks and media disks.

Greater than one weekCon un Mac Book Pro funciona casi tan rápido como los discos internos tambien SSD. Lo utilizo para editar sobre el en Final Cut. Y va de maravilla

Greater than one weekI really like this drive, its small and easy to carry, and fast (was getting 250 MB/s write speed on USB 3.0), and it is compatible with android and iOS devices. Will probably buy it again if there ever was a larger capacity (4 TB or more).
