I purchased this for keeping my virtual machines. I was pleasantly surprised that my VMs boot 5-6 times faster than when it was booting from the external USB3 hard disk. It gives me almost same performance as booting from my MacBook Pro SSD. Speed test also showed that this drive gives a consistent throughout of 400-425 mbps compared to 70-80 mbps I get from USB3.1 external hard disk or usb drive. It’s vey small and light weight to carry around as well. This is a good choice if you want to extend the capacity of your laptop storage.

Ive owned several (expensive) portable drives over the last ten years or so (mostly lacie rugged and raids), this little guy blows them all away. Its literally smaller than my slim wallet and lighter than a pack of gum. Primarily use it via Lightroom to shoot tethered and store current/working graphic design projects with a usb c to usb3 adapter. Consistently get read/write speeds of 475+. It includes the usb3 adapter which is nice although I did end up purchasing a 90 degree connector for use with the Macbook. The cable provided is a little short and the drive is so light it kind of just hangs sticking straight out. Other than that my only other negative is the navy color but thats being nitpicky. Overall I couldnt happier so far. I hardly ever undock my Macbook at work anymore. I usually just stick this drive in my pocket and Im good to go between the office and home.

I was so surprised when i received the product. Its lightweight, small size with 2TB capacity. Its as thin as an iphone and similar size with a bank card, you can even put in your wallet or a card holder. The included USC A to C adapter is also very convenient (better than you have to carry two cables). I am so exciting. The photo is for ref.
