> 3 dayThe software you get on it does not take up much space at all. It has an easy interface, but there is a special way to update files and for those of you interested, it is detailed below. It is very secure and I kept some private documents on it with zero worries. It is not immune to all attacks obviously, but as long as youre not hanging out with unsavory movie-hacker types, youll be fine. I also have chrome and tor running on it. How to update files in the software: There are two ways to put a file on this usb. The normal drag and drop is the first way, no complications there. The other way is to put it in the locker. You open up the software and put in your password (you set the password the first time you use it). My usual method is 1)finding the file I want to update (like adding more to a word document for example). 2) I move that file from inside the locker to outside the locker. 3) I update the file and save it. 4) I put the file back in the locker. Its the same as when you were in school and had to open your locker and take out your notebook before you could write in it. I hope that wasnt too confusing, Im not the best at explaining things. If what I said sounds daunting, I promise its not, its just me.

> 3 dayI am a record producer, in other terms I generate more data then my Jeep produces Carbon dioxide I own about a dozen of these little flash drives because I always need to quickly being able to carry MP3 exports and different kind of data on the go and I must admit that their size and portability is awesome. I heavily use them for about a year now, and I never encountered any problem, very solid built. I think I have at least one of these in almost every pair of jeans that I own, along with my guitar picks, they became a necessity in my arsenal. Matter of fact my girlfriend washed a pair of Jean with two of them in the pockets and they proudly survived the heavy wash cycle of the laundry machine. Yep, still alive. Im aware of the USB 2.0 speed in writing/reading and I didnt encounter any slower problem as I could have read on some other reviews. Have no hesitations, I totally recommend you to get them, especially considering the price tag,

> 3 dayBe sure and download the free encryption from the SanDisk web site. Can be used on any brand of flash drive. The USB connector is plastic, so hopefully it holds up to use.

> 3 dayIve been using and liking SanDisks products for over 20 years, can you believe it? I still use Windows XP on a daily basis and their USB 2.0 flash drives work without problems. I have several of this model already and Ill continue collecting them. The only other brand I trust is Lexar.

27-11-2024Bought it to store ISOS for my retro-PCs. Most of those machines are USB 1.1 so this device has more read/write speed that they can handle. So far has been reliable, which is to expect from a Sandisk product, but time will tell in that regard.

> 3 dayIf youre looking for a USB drive for 3D printing, this is a great choice. Its smaller physical size mean it stays out of the way. 8 gigs is plenty of storage for many slice files - more than Ive ever needed to store on a stick. And the smaller storage size makes them inexpensive if you ever need to supplement or replace. I have one for each printer, with the printer name as the drive name so I dont ever have to worry about hunting through files that might be formatted for the wrong screen size and layer settings
