> 24 hourIt is only wide enough to catch 2 studs, unlike the Elite version, but as light as most TVs are you really do not need 3 studs for strength. The Elite version I used on my other TV allows for more tilt side to side, making it even easier to access the Samsung hook ups from the side while in the 7 inch deep cabinet box. I would definitely recommend the Advanced or Elite tilt mounts. The key is the scissor style mounts.

> 24 hourI bought a new house with a recessed wooden niche area for a tv above the fireplace. When I evaluated the mount left by the previous owner, I came to realize that there were not actually full sized studs behind the wooden trim. The mount left for me came out of the wall pretty far, so I figured that may be a liability and could cause my tv to fall. When I found this Sanus mount, I felt confident that it could do the job with a combination of lag and molly bolts to keep the TV attached to the wood. And since the TV now cant be moved very far from the wall, there will be less weight placed on the top bolts and less risk the TV could fall. I found the instructions to be incredibly well written. It was nice to have many options of what height to install the TV brackets on the back of the TV, so I could work within the space of the recessed TV niche and still make room for my soundbar. It was very easy to mount with two people (because of the size of my tv and the height of the niche) but I bet many people could mount this solo. The tilt feature was perfect to angle my TV down slightly for more comfortable viewing at the tall height the TV is at. I felt confident that I could have use additional soundbar brackets with this mount and it would have been able to accommodate the weight, but I ended up not needing them. Highly recommend this mount!

> 24 hourI am super picky about hanging things dead center. As such, I just assumed the Sanus online calculator couldnt be trusted to get the job done. So I attempted to calculate the proper dimensions myself, which was no small feat since the mounts on my TV are not centered vertically, and neither are the holes or scissor center on the mounts themselves. After arriving at my number, I decided to use the online tool as a double check. They were off about a 0.25 inches. Turns out it was right and i misread my tape measure. ... The online hanging calculator is great. It already knew the exact location of my TV mounting holes based on brand and model #, and told me the exact wall locations for a 40 hang height (from bottom). My only knock would be that I needed an intermediate screw length for my TV and only long and short were provided. However, i was able to make up the difference using the ample spacers provided. TV glides and articulates smoothly and beautifully. The scissor hinges give a good amount of up down tilt on my 65, and a very mild left right. The pull out distance is super handy for getting behind and connecting everything -- one could argue this feature isnt important because you should only have to suffer thru connecting once, but i like it. Build quality is great. Course, it is fairly pricey in comparison, so quality is expected. The 4 huge lag bolts to hang the wall plate is a bit overkill; i suspect it was needed for the massive margin requirements for UL certs. The TV is a couple inches off the wall fully retracted, so perhaps this mount isnt ideal for walls where side visibility is a cosmetic issue. My mount is in a bit of an alcove, so i cant see the side. Bottom line: Great mount, great SW, little pricey.

> 24 hourFairly easy to install, very sturdy, and allows leveling and minor height adjustments without taking it down. My least favorite part of this stand is the extendors - they are a bit wobbly so the TV is easily nudged off kilter, but since Im not usually touching the TV this isnt a big deal. My favorite part is the TV can be slid horizontally on the stand quite some distance - mine can travel nearly 12 to either side, though Im sure this will vary by TV model and mounting pattern. The TV height can also be adjusted significantly by changing the mounting bracket positions. This will be most useful if/when you buy a new TV as you probably wont need to move the wall mount even with a taller or shorter TV model.

> 24 hourGreat mount but I ran into a small issue where the spacers provided were either too small or too large. If you use the large spacer with the bigger bolt then you barely have the bolt seated in the TV. If you use the smaller bolts and no spacers, same issue. I had to improvise with some of my own washers to have both the right buffer and be able to screw most of the bolt into the TV. You can see in one of my shots how much depth I would lose if I use the larger spacer provided. If I used the tiny bolts with no spacers, the bolts themselves are too small for comfort since they do screw in but over hardly any thread. I almost debated cutting the larger spaces in half but decided to just use the combination of smaller spacers and my washers. Besides all that it’s a great mount and maybe your TV would leverage the other bolts provided. The ability to adjust the level of the TV by a hair even if you technically leveled the mount bracket is awesome.

> 24 hourIt’s very easy to install and multiple sections for the bolts to be added with ample distance between each. Easy to remove television with pull down tabs that stay hidden when installed.

> 24 hourProbably a little OCD and a little problem with instruction interpretation made for a slow start. In my situation, it was important to determine where the bottom of the tv in relation to floor or other obstacle whereas instructions are more center oriented. Tip: using Heightfinder tool, find approximate height then change result “middle “ to “bottom” and edit number in height from floor. It will automatically adjust figures for top and bottom holes to drill. The bottom of your tv will be very close to perfect position and there are provisions for fine adjustments. While Sanus could not anticipate builders who place outlets too high or not centered once I realized height above floor was critical the rest fell into place.
