Great buy

I used this razor for years and loved it. The shave was silky smooth and the blades lasted a long time. I was so sorry when I finally ran out of blades and then couldnt find them anywhere in any store. I tried several other brands but they werent anywhere near as good as my Schick. Then I checked Amazon and there they were and I did the happy dance. I ordered them with great anticipation, only to be disappointed. The first time I used it the blade felt dull and it dragged over my skin. I had to make 1 or 2 passes to remove any hair and my skin felt razor burned and it left stubble. I dont have particularly sensitive skin and my hair is soft and easy to shave. I thought it might just be that blade so I threw It away and tried another one. Same problem.The third, fourth and fifth also. Im SO disappointed. Most of the reviews are very positive and then there are others with the same issues as mine. I dont understand why.

Ive been using these razor blades for years. Ive tried other brands, but I havent found one I like better. I get a good close shave without a lot of irritation. The only complaint this time is that I didnt receive the product as listed here. I recieved 2 3-count packs that say they were packaged for Australia and New Zealand. Not a big deal, but its not what was advertised.

For the life of me I cannot understand why these blades are rated so highly. I have never had a problem with cutting myself with any other brand of razor out there, but these sharp little wires wrapped around the blades are constantly cutting into my skin. The design seems completely stupid to me for this reason, but it seems that it is not a problem for other people so I dont know what the deal is. Maybe my skin is unusually thin? I dont know, but even those cheap pink plastic razors are better than this for me. I was shocked that these were even still being sold.

Ive had my Schick Silk Effects razor for several years. The only place I can find the blades are here on Amazon so Im happy they are still available. Each blade lasts for several uses.

I have used this product for over 15 yrs an wouldnt buy any other.
