Schluter Kerdi-Drain Grate Kit, 4 Chrome

19-04-2025Installed this over the original Schluter Kerdi 4 Inch Square Stainless Steel Grate - Floral Design in Matte Black that we purchased due to change in the floor tile selection. Install for the novice is not necessarily easy. These drains should come with a hair trap, if you drop the hold down screw into the drain on install well you are going to be out of luck. Recommend you purchase a small sink mesh drain and install prior to trying to install or remove screws. I did not drop a screw but I notice the potential of this occurring. At the time of purchase the price was much better than the original one we selected.

> 3 dayI’ve installed tons of kerdi drains. This is the only one that “clicks” when you step on the grate. It is secure in the floor and is most definitely the grate.

> 3 dayThis is a quality product. Installation was straight forward. As a non pro I was able to install this and it looks great. Meets and exceeded my expectations. Recommended.

> 3 dayMy first time trying this product, the situation called for something different than we normally use. This item is about 3X the cost of our normal drain system but may be worth the cost difference when complete

> 3 dayWe remodeled a bathroom with a new shower pan and walls covered in the Schluter Kerdi system... it is a good system and needed the final trim for the floor drain. As contractors we rely on Amazon often for materials vs. traveling to suppliers. Shipped quickly and price was fair.

Greater than one weekSo disappointed! Looks so cheap on Marble shower floor. Not easy to install for DIY! Hate looking at it! Every time I go by it, I cringe after having invested so much time in the details of our bathroom project and so much money on high quality stone shower tile. Will probably remove it and eat the $2500 to redo shower floor… looks so tacky!
