This is my go to needle. I have and use all the various types of needles on the market, but this one is almost always in my machines...yes plural.

I questioned buying a boatload of needles but I am glad I did. I sew a lot and I was not changing my needles often enough. These cost a fraction of the small plastic cases with 5 or so needles. However these are all the same size whereas the more expensive smaller quantity items offer a variety of sizes. I have a variety for my occasional needs, so this allows me to change my needle when I should without thinking of the cost or available quantity. I change my needle at least 2x a month so these should last a few years. LOL

I have always used Schmetz needles for my sewing machines, been sewing for 50 years. These needles are NOT Schmetz--not sharp, not easy to put in the machine, and sew poorly. The Schmetz box that the needles arrived in is not the usual one that states Made by Schmetz. Too late to return, but I will shop elsewhere for Schmetz needles in the future. These needles go into the garbage, not worth keeping for any reason.

As a quilter, I go through tons of needles. These are perfect for many of my projects and there is always a spare. Sharp and ready to go.

I go through a lot of machine needles (with 5 machines) so this was a wonderful find!!! I will be purchasing these again in the near future! So affordable compared to purchasing the same thing in small packets in the fabric store. Easier to store as well- one small box instead of multiple packets.
