Schwarzkopf Blondme Premium Developer 6% / 20 Volume Hair Color Developer, 33.8 Ounce, 1 L

I have been bleaching my hair since I was 11 years old. I am 34 now and never in my lifetime have I come across a product like this bleach & developer!!!! I AM SO EXCITED. I have natural level 5 brown hair, leaning towards level 4 even. It is NOT easy to lighten. It has gradually darkened over the years, making gray hairs stand out at the root, and making bleaching nearly impossible. I gave up on going blonde about 3 years ago because it was way too much of a hassle going through the many, many shades of orange while trying to maintain my hairs integrity. I even tried not coloring it at all for almost a year. BLEGH. That was ugly. lol.. I ordered this and the bleach after watching about 475389734258 youtube videos. I thought there was no way it was as good as it sounds. LET ME TELL YOU. This set is a godsend!!! Unreal. I typically use Quick Blue and Sally brand developer from Sallys, always heard that was the best to use. I never got the results I wanted from it, even after two bleaching sessions though. That was with a 30 to 35 volume developer! I used this Schwarzkopf 20 volume developer that goes with the bleach. I applied it to the mid lengths & ends of my hair for 20 minutes first, then added bleach to my roots and and ran more to my lengths to keep the bleach wet. Piled it all up on my head and tucked it under a grocery bag for another 20 -25 minutes. I about pooped my pants when I took that bag off, haha. It was BANANA YELLOW with VERY, VERY few golden/orange streaks. Im talking maybe 3 little spots that didnt lift to banana yellow. The exact color blonde it takes me THREE sessions to achieve with other bleaches and developers, if Im lucky And even then, my hair is DESTROYED with other bleaches.. I knew it could be toned from this level and was so happy. Instead of bleaching out the 3 (barely) darker spots, I applied a Level 8 Ash hair dye over top and held my breath while it worked its magic for another 20 minutes. I now have the most beautiful ash toned level 9 blonde!!! I am THRILLED. I cant wait to recommend this set to my best friend, as she always has the same struggles I do with staying blonde. GET IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I will never use another bleach set for as long as I live. Scouts honor.

Would definitely tell people to get this developer and the bleach that goes with it. I am a DARK DARK brunette and sometimes black haired chick who has the WORT time trying to lighten my hair enough to color it with bright dyes. This worked great! Didnt make my hair feel like cotton candy either which can happen easily since I usually require multiple bleachings (like three or four). This got the job done with two.

Best lightening brand available

First, if you have never bleached your hair before, please go to a salon first. If you are unaware of what to do, it can be dangerous or damage your hair enough to need a correction which can cost a bit more. The amount of product you use, making sure your hair does not dry out, as well as timing are so important if you are doing this yourself. All things that Ive experienced in the past. Ive been bleaching for a long time and I love this brand. Ive been using it for the past few years and it is the same brand my stylist uses in the salon. 20 volume is plenty to lift your roots to platinum. This is a very powerful bleach for sure. 30 volume I think is best used in the Salon for this brand. It is just a lot and your hair may get damaged. I feel like I cant work fast enough to make sure I dont burn my scalp with 30. 20 lifted my blue black hair to a light orange which was expected. I was able to put a pretty copper on from IGK and give my hair a rest. I think one more session should take me light enough to tone to platinum. Great product. Use with the Schwarzkopf powder bleach. They work brilliantly together.

Went from purple to pink mixing blondme bleach powder, this developer and shampoo, rinsed out, then did normal bleaching with this developer and blondme bleach powder and I’m sitting at a pretty white!

DO NOT USE THIS DEVELOPER WITH WELLA TONER. This developer worked great with Schwarzkopf Blondme bleach powder Level 9+. However, when I used it with toner, some bizzare chemical reaction occurred and when I went to wash the toner out IT WOULD NOT WASH OUT. It literally turned to paste and I honestly thought I was going to have to cut all my hair off. Once I finally got it out of my hair (lots of wet brushing in the shower, multiple brands of shampoo, multiple conditioner brands) my hair turned out fine and isnt damaged, but it is NOT meant for toner, at least not Wella brand toner.

This being the first time Ive ever bleached my hair (with help) I would say this was a pleasant experience. Obviously I let my roots grow out for 3 months so I was expecting some banding. Didnt matter since I was essentially canceling the brass with green and hot pink. But yes PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS AND GOOGLE THE RATIO AMOUNTS IF YOU ARE UNSURE.
