Scotch 6 Precision Scissors, Great for Everyday Use (1446),Grey/Red

Sharp, comfortable to use and solid.

These were perfect for cutting my applique pieces.

I am left-handed and have rather large hands, so it is a bit uncomfortable to use these for long periods of time. However on the positive side they are quite sharp and easily manuvered when i do cut using them.

What can I say? They cut!

These true to color gray & red scissors arrived secured in high quality packaging that was somewhat challenging to open. They are very lightweight and the handles are smooth with a superior grip. Although they are quite comfortable, I would appreciate a little more room in the bottom opening where the index and middle finger go. Lastly, the blades are very sharp and smooth cutting. I cut through a Dixie paper plate like butter. It also cut through a piece of fabric with ease and left clean cut lines. I recommend these scissors if youre looking for a basic pair of office or junk drawer scissors. I do not recommend these scissors for little children that have not yet developed fine motor skills and/or a certain level of maturity;-)

I own several pairs of the Scotch Brand precision scissors. I bought these based on how well they cut things like poly mailing bags. They work well. But heres the thing for this particular scissor:

I was looking for a reasonably priced, good quality scissors. These look OK, cut well, but they are not very comfortable to use. I ended up putting these in another location so they wont be used so often, and buying a different pair to use in the main location.

I wanted a small pair of scissors for every day use, and these are perfect! I waited a few weeks to see whether they worked well & they did, Theyre sturdy, well made, and even fit my large hands nicely. I highly recommend them.
