> 3 dayPS4 Slim 1TB system has been acting unstable and non responsive due to many CE errors. Almost thinking about sending it to playstation for servicing. After reading some of the reviews here I thought I gave this Seagate a try and swap out with the original HDD and works great from a get go. Replacing it took about 5-10 Mins. There are many videos on YouTube about replacing this bad boy. Quick and no hassle. Now my system is very responsive as it should be. Happy with purchase and no regret. Oh one more thing, be sure to back up your game data to either USB or external storage device for downloading back to your new system HDD.

> 3 dayI obtained this drive to replace in my Dell Inspirion 15 5570. Online tests via Dell’s Support site took forever (stuck at 82% or timed out) and reinforced my belief that failure was imminent. I did a little web research before cracking the case open. System Image backed up and Rescue Disk created. For the novice, do your homework before undertaking the replacement is my best piece of advice. It turned out some of the noise I initially attributed to the hard drive was actually the fan, so I ended up replacing that as well. I thought of springing for a larger capacity drive, but with an 8TB external, this was perfect.

> 3 dayI recently purchased an HP Pavilion 1650 gaming laptop and was trying to look for a good hard drive so I can play more games because the internal memory on the desktop is only 3GB so I called around and ask questions and apparently this is the best hard drive you can get for this particular model it wasnt easy install all I had to do was format the hard drive and I was good to go all my games load extremely fast no need for an s s d you can even put this on your Xbox or if you use an external hard drive for an Xbox upgrade that with this a very great product

> 3 dayI took my Laptop on to two different places to get fixed. Both times the hard drives were replaced. To make a long store short the two that was installed STOP working after one week. I decided to go with the one from Amazon and install it myself. No issues with installation of the hardware or program. Great hard drive.

> 3 dayEdit: Since the drive died, Seagate offered to not only replace it, but also pull the data off and put it on an external 2tb drive. Ive currently got 2 2tb seagate drives (this one), 2 4tb seagate drives, and 2 1tb nvme crucial drives. Out of all. this one is certainly the slowest. but for simple video transfer, as long as its not mission critical information, I will be using this drive to store my game clips. The other 8 tb are really 4tb intended to run in raid, as a double back up, which I havent even set up yet. Been a competitive gamer recording clips and this drive basically died once I filled it. Took about 3 months to max out the capacity and once it did my computer would not boot, despite have 5tb of other drives installed. 2 NVME M.2 drives are installed, one with windows OS, yet with this full drive plugged in my PC will not post. Now 2tb of clips and recordings of various games are lost, because I cannot access the data on this drive. I’d purchased a second one and now I need to return it because this drive is a waste of money. When downloading games from steam, my gigabit internet connection would download for about 4 seconds before waiting 5-10 mins for the drive to catch up. Downloading apex took 8 hours because the read and write of this drive is so slow. Not recommended for gamers either. Adobe programs downloaded just fine but I noticed opening them took significantly longer than on my nvme. This drive isn’t worth any money unless you somehow need a throwaway drive

> 3 dayit spins up fast and pushes anywhere from 50 to 200 MEGABYTES per second... well until you involve simultaneous reads and writes hard drives are not for simultaneous loads and using one as a boot drive is not a good idea for modern windows due to performance also accessing tiny files scattered on the hard drive may not be great idea for performance games load at ok times but if you want performance go for an SSD instead i recomend samsung SSD

> 3 daySince this item was advertised to build a gaming laptop, I thought that it would be faster. It only writes 10-30 mb/sec at less than 1/5 full. I think my old HHD(WD Blue 1TB) was faster at copying data.
