Very nice product, easy to install into your computer or hard drive case. Ensure you mount it, to your computer system in order for it to work. (Non computer might have difficulty if they did not know this).

Works well. My only issue is sometimes I have to go in and set my drive letter after restarting my PC. But that may be a windows issue. Does the job its supposed to otherwise!

When my Western Digital 1 TB drive failed in my laptop, I bought this Seagate. It has all the same characteristics as the original. However, after only 60 days or so, the drive died. As an experienced computer tech, I tried all the known methods to get my data back, but the drive was dead. I reached out to Amazon and they offered a replacement. The new one is working as I would expect. It is probably just a coincidence the other drive failed.

Its a 5400 RPM drive, but that should be obvious to anyone by the pricepoint. Not the best for gaming, but good, cheap, reliable storage.

My daughters 6 year old laptop was slowing down and after running some diagnostic tests it gave me a hard drive failure code. I ordered this hard drive and I installed it easily as it fit perfectly in the laptop. After reinstalling windows 10 the laptop works like new again and the bonus is it now has double the space with a better quality hard drive. Thank you for the quick shipment and a quality product.

At first I thought my PS4 was a goner. My lovely dog just kept on walking as he caught the cord and toppled my ps4 to the ground. Didn’t fix it for months thinking it would take a $200 fix. Nope. All I needed was a new HDD, so I upgraded from 1TB to 2TB, downloaded the reinstall file from sony website onto the ps4 and voila!. I do recommend saving your games to an external for instances like this. As easy as it is to replace the HDD, it’s harder losing all progress to certain games.

I used this drive, with a dock, for a full system backup on an iMac. Installed it into the dock, used disk utility to format the drive, and ran the full backup with no issues. Product arrived within 2 days with Prime, was properly packaged, and worked perfectly.

My PC was horribly slow for months. No viruss found. I kept thinking it was constant MS updates or One Drive Synch (cursing Bill every day). Then I noticed my disk drive was often at 100% when viewed in Task Manager while memory and processor remained much lower. There were no other error codes or warnings of a bad drive. I finally opened my wallet, blew off the dust and bought a new drive. Lucky my old drive worked well enough to allow me to create a USB recovery disk. Well, the new drive did the trick. My PC once again acts like new. I wish I had done it sooner. Upgraded to Win 11 in the process, glad I did that too.
