Next go to Xbox website and follow directions for “ OFFLINE UPDATE “. You’ll need a 6GB thumb drive and follow the easy directions. What do you have to loose?

Great upgrade for my DVR recorder.

Installed into Tablo quad DVR. Hard drive was recognized immediately. The DVR reformatted the hard drive to work with Tablo. Much faster than USB hard drive that I replaced.

I used this drive to replace one that crashed in a friends laptop they no longer wanted. It does not get knocked around a bunch and mostly sits on a countertop, but the drive has been chugging along for a while. What else can you ask for then it to still be working. Hopefully it will still be working 2+ years from now.

Just what you would expect. Works well. Good price, and no need to visit a store during Covid. BTW, if all the lights on your TiVo Bolt or Bolt+ begin flashing at the same time (and in sync) it is your hard drive. Unlike older TiVos, the drives in these machines seem to last only a year or two. Your recordings are lost, but the drive is easy to replace. Google the problem, or see WeaKnees, for a video of how to do it. There are a few tricks to opening the box, but nothing initmidating. And TiVo Bolt and Bolt+ machines format the drive automatically after installation, so there is no formatting or imaging to worry about.
