> 3 dayI bought a pair of these and use them in a docking bay connected to my MacBook Pro. The first time I used them, I was disgusted. I filled it half-way up and then the next time I tried to use it, it wouldnt mount and I thought all my data was gone... TURNS OUT... it commonly does this IF you accidentally disconnect it without first properly ejecting it. I assume its going through some self-test integrity check before it will allow the OS to mount it... but after 5 (or so) minutes, it pops up again, good as new. As long as you play by the rules, you wont experience this. I only mention it in case someone had a similar problem and didnt understand it and thought the drive was bad. Its not. The build quality feels really rugged and its quiet - makes just enough sound that you know its working without being annoying. If it were inside an enclosure, you probably would barely be able to hear it. Im very impressed with the speed - while pitiful next to a Thunderbolt or a top-tier SSD drive, for an inexpensive physical drive, its pretty good. 7200RPM. Blackmagic Disk Speed Test puts it at around 160MB/s Write and 190MB/s Read. Again, not the fastest, but screaming compared to the 12-60MB/s thumb drives I was using before... and its very reasonably priced! Hope this helps!

> 3 dayCompré un discoduro y me vino con unos defectos de fábrica que el fabricante me ayudó a identificar, luego de unos pocos correos y llamadas del funcionario pudimos tramitar el cambio sin problema. Se siente uno bien cuando el producto no sólo es bueno si no que obtiene buen soporte y atención, a pesar de esa mala experiencia, el producto que se reemplazó funciona perfecto.

Greater than one weekBought 3 of these for my media server and they work well. Not super fast but fast enough for storing and playing large videos. Seems quiet enough. Out of the three, one failed to initialize with an I/O error right off the bat. Rest worked good and reliable after 6mo of 24/7 usage. They do not spin down or if they do, they start up fast enough so there is no lag compared to some other drives that take a few seconds to start up.

> 3 dayI bought more storage to store games and files need for work. It is a 2tb storage but after calculations that I do not know is around 1.81 TB of actual storage. Left Photo my 1tb Samsung sdd is also not 1tb but a little less. To the main point, I bought this to storage games that take big storage etc genshin impact, nakara blade point, Apex legends etc. The download time even with my fast internet takes a while to download these games on my pc. On my laptop where I bought a ssd, it took way less time because of how faster the write speed the ssd is. Games loading time is bad for the first time starting the game up. The game loads up but the loading screen takes more time and then after it loads up the speed is faster. Fps/Nakara blade point has stuttering from hdd. Installation: They do not include the Sata cables that plug into your motherboard and the power cables from the power supply. Had to get an extension for the power supply because it does not reach but was rather a simple installation. Open the back, screw it in, plug it in and it’s done. Afterwards, you don’t need a software just go to the file and see if the hdd is there and right click and format, following a simple YouTube guide allows it to work. Overall: this is great device for cheap gaming pc on budget or simple device to store multiple files and photos. Things that can be annoying is noise of the disc spinning and the tweakin noise and the download rate slowed down because of its speed limit. I personally would switch to a ssd when I have enough because of the faster speeds and less noise.

> 3 dayLove these badboys. I was looking for something budget friendly and could handle my storage needs. This filled those 2 perfectly. I got a cheaper one with 6tb and 7000 something RPM and it was much worse. It was also another brand completely. The Seagate hasnt failed me yet for my 2 SSDS being 1TB or my 2 4TB Hard drive Barracudas. Points to Cover: Transfer Rate- Fast from CPU to drive and Drive to CPU. I run games off of it as well with no problem. If your gonna run a Windows OS off of it? Use a SSD. I use that and its terrific. Storage- Perfect amount for my usage. i have video, games from steam, music and documents. if you keep them well organized, you can maximize the space. I have everything in a very thought out filing system. Noise of drive- Non. Ive had drives in the past that were really noisy and this thing is quiet as a mouse. External options- You can put this in a external enclosure that supports 3.5 HDD. use one with a fan though. When my last PC went brick and I had a limbo period with a laptop. I used the old hardrive in an enclosure to salvage it.

> 3 dayThe 2TB hard drive is an extremely reliable and cost-effective option for anyone in need of large-capacity storage. I have personally ordered three of these drives over the past 5 years and have not had any issues with any of them. The speed of the drive is decent and performs well with modern-day data transfer rates. It offers a great value for the price and is the best bang for your buck when it comes to large-capacity storage. I highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for a dependable and affordable storage option.

> 3 dayIve had one of these for literal ages and bought another two for extra storage. They came well-packaged, work out of the box, and work well.

> 3 dayProduct works well. Original post of failed only after 2 years was incorrect. The power supply had failed instead.

Greater than one weekNot much to say.. If you need more storage for your PC, just buy it!
