I received the Seasons of Reflection as a Christmas gift and it sat on my shelf for a long time. Finally I opened it and for almost a year I read the Bible and understood for the first time. I actually completed the book in less than a year. If you always wanted to read the Bible cover-to-cover, then this is the book for you. In modern English, Seasons of Reflection provides an orderly and contextual progression through the Old Testaments Psalms, and the New Testament that enabled me to comprehend the richness of the messages. I highly recommend this book regardless whether you have read the Bible before. It will provide new lessons and a bright perspective on the Word of God.

The dated readings keep me on track with Daily QT. The comments in front are very pertinent for reflection on topics of faith presented. Have used it for several years in a daily time of devotion along with a hymnal. Highly recommend it for continued pursuit of things spiritual.

I have a copy of this Bible and have so enjoyed it broken up in daily readings to complete in a year. We have a friend on dialysis and he remarked that he was trying to read his Bible in a year. Best way I have found to read the Word daily. I tried online ones but always became non compliant after a few months
