This keypad is metal and not flimsy. We live in the country so it is very dark out here and the blue lighting really stands out. Installation was fairly easy. It works like a charm and is an attractive addition to our entrance. Definitely recommend it.

We used the toggle function on this keypad to hold a gate open indefinitely as needed for a customer that kept losing their keys to a keyswitch for the same function. They needed to be able to hold the gate open for moving multiple large trucks/trailers through the gate opening. This solved the problem.

Works good so far except the noise generated from the key pad.

Overall a great product. One thing to note, when the epoxy coating was setting on the rear of the unit, it protruded a little on a solder joint so I had to file it down and I used some automotive RTV sealant. I was concerned about a short on the metal I was installing it on because it was a solder joint, but its working, so no issue. I think that this unit I got may have slipped through QA/QC because otherwise it would have had about an eighth of an inch gap and not flush against the mounting plate. I like the led backlighting on the keys and it has a good tone for the key punch so you know you are entering the code. Much better than the telephone style keys I had before from another mfg.
