These work on 3/8 steel fuel line! In the past I used a part made of brass and it failed terribly. The nut part was very thin and I feared stripping the threads or breaking the nut itself. But not with this item! Its just the opposite. I read reviews about similar items and incorporated what I learned during the install. The tube needs to be straight where the fitting goes. I had a slight bend in one spot and the nut wouldnt slide over it. I could have tried to straighten it but instead I cut the tube. I used 800 grit sand paper to clean off the fuel line in the 2 area where the fitting is installed. Before threading the nut onto the fitting youll want to lube the threads. I tightened the ever living crap out of it. You can see in the pics the nut is about 1/16 away from the hex of the mating part. When it got to this point I could tell it was bottomed out. Voila!

No complaints, installed and very happy at this point ( no leaks ).

I received the items and they look just as its shown in the pictures. However the inside diameter is not .420” or 27/64. When measured with a digital caliper the actual inside diameter is .399” or closer to 25/64.

make sure to open ferrel and put it back exactly the same

Got the job done but the feral and hole size is metric, not SAE, sized had to drill out and get a new feral to make it work...
