I reviewed these bowls earlier and love them. There were two bowls in each order with slight design flaws; I contacted the company and they were extremely gracious. They could not replace the bowls because they have no single bowls in the warehouse, only pre-packaged sets. However, they gave me an immediate refund. If they could replace the bowls, I would buy them again. They are lovely!!!!!

These 9 bowls arrived without issue. They are beautiful and better looking in person than their pictures! I have used them for pasta, large salad, and as a mixing bowl. They are heavy, sturdy and beautiful. I highly recommend.

I wanted large bowls (for enjoying big salads) that went with my collection of dishes from Japan. These looked like they could meet the need, and they were the largest ones I could find, holding 40 ounces according to the description. They survived shipment nicely, but when unpackaged, four of six had defects, either excessive glaze pooling or issues with the pattern (see photos; I couldn’t photograph the glaze pooling, so these are of the pattern defects). Only two of the six should have made it past quality control. I was really disappointed. But then I decided to reach out to the company, as the little note in the box said to if there were any issues. They offered a refund (though the amount they offered didn’t match what I had paid, was less by over $5), or a replacement set, without having to return the first set. I was a bit worried when I went for the replacement set; if it had 4 defective bowls as well, I didn’t know what I’d do then. But this time it came with only one bowl that had issues, and that was some smearing of the pattern on the outside in a small place. Not ideal, but not at all like the first batch. The remainder would pass strict QC, no problem, and were absolutely lovely. The bowls are large enough for a good, filling salad for my lunch, and they are pretty enough (the perfect ones, anyway) to go with my other Asian dishware. The colors are saturated nicely in the darker bowls, especially in the newer set, and the glaze is nice and even in this replacement set, no bubbling or pooling. I love that they go in the dishwasher; I have some others I don’t risk in there, but these have the shiny glaze that makes them safe for this. So, bottom line, if you need bowls like this, take the chance that you’ll get a really good set like I did the second time. If you don’t get a good set, or anything is broken or otherwise damaged, just let them know, and they are good about helping. The first set was three stars, the second five, which is why I averaged for a four star rating. Five stars for the customer service, though. I am going to enjoy using these every day.

I first ordered the 8inch bowls. Theyre nice, but theyre just...bowls. I didnt even unwrap them - just sent them back the next day. But I liked the blue patterns and many of the reviews said they were beautiful, so I ordered the 9inch. And THESE bowls are IT!! Unpacking them, theyre just a really great size for literally anything.....soups, stews, pasta, scrambled eggs, microwave meals, take-out, etc. Theyre a nice weight, the patterns are really pretty (someone said theyre prettier than the pictures and that is absolutely true), and Im going to have to re-arrange my cupboard now. I dont think Im going to need plates as often as Im going to use these bowls! These are seriously FIRE!

With a large household, were always in need of extra bowls. Lets check out this bowls set by Selamica. Pros: Huge, 9 diameter, 40oz (to the brim), 38oz (below the brim) bowls and can handle most pastas, soups, salads, cereals, etc. Decent quality materials and construction. Esthetically pleasing glazed swirls patterns in different colors that shouldnt affect appetites. Lead free. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Cons: Each bowl weighs a hefty 1 lb. 10.8oz. Heavier than my other bowls. More difficult to use as ramen/noodle soup bowls; not taller or narrower diameter to minimize spillage when eating.
