This is the 5th 3.5 mm to 1/4 in adapter I have bought in the last couple of months, 3 from Amazon and 2 from other vendors. This is only one that is actually a 3.5 mm to 1/4 adapter. Each of the other four was not machined well enough to meet the tolerances needed to act as a proper adapter. They would either be slightly off on the 1/4 end or the 3.5 mm end. The end result was that when even the tiniest amount of force was applied, and Im not even talking about deliberate force, you would get static, lose a channel or both. What I mean by force being applied is stupid random stuff like accidentally nudging a DAC or bumping into the desk.

Dont waste your money on any other adapters. The fit of this piece is perfect. It fits tightly with no wiggle and thus no cutouts. This is perfection.

Works like a charm but the latch is super tight, only use if you dont plan on taking it off of your headphones often.

Works very well with my US headphone amp.

I specifically ordered this because it said replacement for Sennheiser headphones. This is not what came with my headphones. It is not the threaded screw on type.
