> 24 hourI have an older electric random orbital sander which is designed for pressure sensitive adhesive type sanding discs. I wanted to switch to the hook and loop type to make it compatible with my other units. These adapters let me do that perfectly. They dont seem to be quite as well made I find materials as the better known name brands are, but so far theyre working just fine and Im pleased with them. They certainly offer good value.

> 24 hourThis was exactly what i was looking for. Fit my pads perfectly and had a very secure hold. Did my car the other day and made the job easy. I had a smaller back plate that came with my Griots DA Polisher and the difference is night and day. The increased size made a huge difference.

> 24 hourThe threaded shaft does exit the plate perpendicularly, thus during rotation it wobbles which inhibits rpm of the backing plate.

> 24 hourI attached this to my 15 year old Porter Cable 7424 and went to work. Im not professional by far but I used to polish my black Shelby for show so my skills are honed a bit. Be a little cautious as the plate does want to cross thread if youre not paying attention. Its a really close fit and the factory PC wrench just barely fits on the nut to tighten the plate. You might throw on a small washer to give you a bit more clearance. If youre pad is coming apart, your applying too much pressure. Work on low speed and let the machine do the work. Dont press hard. I polished my 2019 Raptor top-to-bottom, front-to-back using one backing plate, a medium cut pad and smooth cut leveling compound mixed with a Teflon polish. About 2 hours later my truck is butter-smooth, high gloss, all swirls and pinstriping are gone (I like to run through the desert) and the backing pad doesnt even look like it was used. Good stuff.
