we bought the Wii Sensor bar extension cable when we recently moved into a new house ... the media room has a projector and all of the A/V equipment is on the opposite side of the room as the screen. I plugged in the sensor bar cable into this extension cable and the Wii works perfectly.

This works like it should. Its about 40 feet longer than I need, but I didnt dare get a smaller cord with the complaints on other listings. This one definitely works! I use it to hook up a Wii Mini to an overhead projector for a bunch of fourth-graders.

With this extension cable i was able to run all the wires for the Wii behind the walls, through my A/V receiver to the the TV

I used this to extend my Wii U Sensor Bar from my LCD at the front of the room to a closet around the corner with all of my audiovisual gear. I highly recommend this cable over the battery powered wireless sensor bars as they all have pretty terrible battery life. This worked perfectly the first time and hasnt had any trouble.

Getting the Wii out of the living room and into the equipment closet required a lot more wire than came with the original unit. The only really annoying thing about this cable, other than the price, is that its not in-wall rated (its not designed to be pulled through walls). This made testing the work that much more important before cleaning up the mess I made out of the drywall before putting everything back together. It also made pulling the wire a delicate chore - completely unlike the speaker wire that ran through the same walls. Bottom line - the thing works, but Id give it 5 stars if it was in wall rated. Hard to believe ANYONE needs 50 ft of wire and says Thank God someone makes a 50 sensor bar extension for my 50 long room.

For all of you remoting your Wii to the wiring closet, be advised that the Sensor Bar does not actually have to be plugged into the Wii controller at all. It can be powered from a wall wart power supply. If you dont want to risk damage to your factory Sensor Bar you can buy replacements as cheap as $4. You can put one on every TV in your house, locate the Wii in a central closet and play Wii games from any and all rooms of the house. You can even have one player in one room, and another player in another room. The only limiting factor to range is the Bluetooth connection the Wiimote has to the console. The sensor bar isnt actually a sensor -- it provides an absolute point of reference. Without the sensor bar, the Wii remote can only detect the controllers tilt along three axes.
