The 50 Amp outlet by SetWire, is a convenient and good quality way to have a waterproof NEMA 14-50 outlet for your RV’s or EV’s. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.

Perfect if you have an RV with a 50amp service. This kit is really nice and should last a long time. Comes with everything you need.

Got this little adapter for emergency scenarios that may require charging our Tesla Model Y from the dryer outlet (which is backed-up with a Tesla Powerwall) during sustained power outages. I wont be able to pull the same amperage I get from my daily L2 charger (on a 40a circuit), but this will save me in a pinch! The whip itself feels heavy-duty and has a nice integrated grip/handle.

I wanted to get this so I have options if the 14-50R isnt available in a location. This is great because one end is facing one direction and the other is the opposite. Easy to connect your 14-50P portable EV charger because of this design.

Very heavy duty and works well. The weatherproofing is very nice as well.

The wires needed for 50A are always a bit of a challenge to cram into any box, but this one seems to provide ample room. Its a good bit less than my local electricians would charge me for the same functionality too!

The home charger is of great quality. It has a nice carry case for transporting it or storing it. I like the fact that it is sturdy and solid. The charging power is very good. I would recommend this for the level of quality and the ease of use

This is a heavy duty adapter that works for charging EVs. It is quite heavy and well made. Just what you want when charging whether on a regular basis or just when you need while traveling away from your regular charger. Great to have just in case!
