> 3 dayI Owned a Roomba Robot before which I wasnt very happy with so I bought this unit to replace it with. After owning this Shark for a couple months Ill give it a review. First the Good things....... 1. Very quiet,I hardly hear it from other rooms while its running. It makes some noise while its emptying the dirt to the base but thats only for about 10 seconds or so. 2.Doesnt crash into walls and furniture like the Roomba did, however small things like dog or cat food bowls it will push around. 3.Doesnt have a problem going from carpet to tile or hardwood floors. Will go up on bathroom floor mats without shoving them around. 4.Finds its way back to the charging base base 95% of the time,if it doesnt its usually because it found a problem it couldnt solve. 5. Requires very little maintenance, but will need some on a weekly basis.More on that below. Now for things I wouldnt call negative but you should know. 1.Says the base holds 60 days of dirt before it needs to be emptied, maybe if you live in a house with no pets or children. We have 2 cats a dog and 2 adolescent kids.I need to empty the bin at least once a week or more or it will fill up and cause a error. If the bin fills up you will clog up the passage from the bottom of the base unit to the upper bin and then it will need to be cleaned out manually before the error is cleared and it will work correctly again. Not a big deal really but you should be aware. 2.Hair for the most part does not wrap around the roller brush but will to some point, mostly on the sides and middle of the brush, however Its easy to pop off and clean ,I do it once a week, you can then clean any debris behind the brush that might build up. 3.The cliff sensors on the bottom of the unit, the four clear plastic lenses in the front and two on the sides should also be wiped off weekly,if they get dusty or blocked with dirt that will cause an error too. 4.Keep things like dryer sheets ,loose electrical or USB cords, socks ,small toys, etc off the floor so it wont jam up and cause an error. So all in all I am quite happy with this Shark unit 60 days in,it runs 6 days a week with hardly any problems.

> 3 dayThe technology is amazing but I find the programming non-intuitive. Trying to map out the carpeted areas so that the moping function wont reach it is impossible. Naming the room is also another chore. Most irritating is that the price has dropped another $50 since I bought it less than 3 weeks ago and I have yet been able to test its full function since I will need my daughters help to program it. Wondering if I should return it and get a replacement for $50 less.

> 3 dayMy new Shark, Roberto, saves me a lot of time! While he is cleaning, I can do other things! The mapping was easy and he seems to get more thorough each time he cleans. I love the hepa filter as we have bad allergies and this is helping eliminate dust. Also love that he empties himself!! Highly recommend!

Greater than one weekI purchased this on an impulse because it was on sale. I set it up and hit the clean button and it far exceeded (in a positive way) the job it did cleaning! Unfortunately it was down hill from there. The unit went back to the docking station, recharged and then had a #9 bin error. I ejected the dust bin out of the robot and replaced it and it again did a great job vacuuming but after the next recharge, same error. I called Shark customer service and here is the shot version of the drama that ensued: 1. first agent with very poor English (Ive worked extensively overseas and am usually able to understand even thick accents but this was barely comprehensible at times) sent me a link to be able to view the robot through the camera on my phone. She had me dock the unit and since it did that and started vacuuming again she declared it cured, gave me a case number, and signed off. 2. after completing the vacuuming cycle (about an hour until battery needs recharge) it recharged and same dust bin error 9 message. I called back in and got another agent with nearly incomprehensible English skills who started the same routine of diagnostic steps with me but after getting to the Im going to send you a link to access your camera so I can see the error she went radio silent, line connected but no body home. Mind you it took 15 minutes on hold to get to an agent and another 15 of diagnostics to get to this point. 1/2 hour wasted. 3. called in a 3rd time, 3rd agent I couldnt understand, and same diagnostic routine. At the 45 minute mark in the conversation she said, ok it looks like its the same as with the first agent so well need to send you a new robot. Great... I thought. She takes all my information and then says I forgot to tell you, the warranty is limited and youre responsible for the $25 shipping of the replacement! I protested, she checked with her supervisor and got the shipping waved. She then informed me that this unit is not in stock so it will be 2-3 weeks before I should expect a replacement via FedEx. The only good part of the experience is that agent 3 realized her English wasnt good so rather than try to have me spell out my address she just had me write it down on a piece of paper and point the camera on my phone at it so that she could take it down. Pretty good idea really.

> 3 dayPrior to this one, I had an off brand robot that never truly mapped my house after the first time. I hesitated in getting another one but with cats, I needed something. I seen great reviews. I have used it now 3 times and it’s mapped my house and vacuumed everywhere with no issues. It does miss some of the cat litter But otherwise it’s great. It definitely decreases the time I spend cleaning the floors.

> 3 dayI bought a rumba 03+ I had nothing but trouble with it. So I bought the shark and it’s been just a fabulous machine. It’s very reliable. It does a good job and I’ve had no problem with it too. I would recommend it to anyone who never wants to push The vacuum around their house again
