> 24 hourIf you want to do your own plumbing repairs but dont like the idea of soldering copper or buying special tools to join PEX tubing, try these. Simply cut the pipe or tubing and press them into the fittings. Its that simple. First time I used them I thought there was no way they wouldnt leak like a sieve. They dont! They really are just that easy. They cost a bit more than traditional fittings but the time saved is well worth it.

> 24 hourI love SharkBite fittings. They can be moved, reused, and easily taken apart if needed. I have used them on pex and copper. I have never had any issue with leaking. I make sure I deburr (neaten and smooth the rough edges or ridges) the material and mark it so I know the depth the material needs to be inserted. They save time and money from hiring a professional to solder.

> 24 hourAfter looking at many stores for these small 1/4 inch pex couplers, I finally found these here on line. They were exactly what I needed to fix the water filter under the sink on my camper. They worked perfectly and never leaked a drop.

> 24 hourConsidering the difficulty of getting a plumber to come over, during the pandemic, and perform an outdoor spigot install, I was delighted to discover I can DIY it! The job required tapping into an existing water line with new PEX tubing and establish a new freeze-proof spigot on the outside of my house, and I can do this every bit as professionally as was done years ago by a professional! By doing this myself, I was able to incorporate my personal preferences like where the spigot should be installed for owner/user convenience (NOT in a crawl space no more than two feet high, spigot design that ensures no freeze-ups, angular considerations to ensure line drainage when turned off, etc. Thank you, SharkBite for making this possible!
