I’m a HVAC tech & I purchased this product a few years ago. I would say this product has made diagnosing shorts so much faster which means less time wasted replacing fuses. I strongly recommend every service tech carry this in their bag. You may not need it everyday but when you’re on a roof working on package unit you’ll be happy you have it.

Instead of buying this, go to the local supply shop and ask for a Lil Popper. The lil popper is the exact same thing as this except it is only $12. I bought one last week for a rookie tech who I am trying to mentor. These are good for even advanced level techs.

Worked perfect, I had a Tech replace a blower control board and was blowing fuses. Two minutes later the problem was solved, he had a crossed wire. If you are an A/C Tech or Maintenance Tech I think you really need this tool. just clamp it on the fuse area with the power on and when the light goes OFF the short is fixed.
