> 3 dayThere is nothing wrong with the chair but it is too wide for my tub. Check the width of the your tub to be sure it fits.

> 3 dayProbably the sturdiest shower chair I’ve seen. Easy to follow instructions. Just take your time. The bottom of the seat has screw in points that attach the tops of the legs. The bottom is marked #1 and #2. The curved upper legs are marked #1 and #2. Make sure to put them in the correct position or you’ll have to do it later. Otherwise everything else is push together with the button.

> 3 dayI ordered this one day and it showed up the very next with no special shipping! That was great because my old shower chair seat made of plastic cracked, and every time I sat on it I felt like I was slipping off the side. This new chair was assembled in less than a half hour without any problems at all right out of the box. There are very adequate written and pictorial instructions, and no additional tools are needed besides the wrench included in the box. The wrench had an enhanced, plastic handle which made the final tightening of the screws easier to do since a little torque is needed. This new chair is an upgrade from the first one I bought years ago. This time I added the ability to handle more weight and the padded side handles. I also like the fact that the seat on the new chair is mostly flat, as opposed to the concave design I had before. Over time I think the old concave seat gave way because the design was fundamentally weak. The new flat seat has a lot of easily visible reinforcement underneath. Overall the chair is very comfortable to sit in and get out of with the handles. There was no wobbling and it felt very sturdy. It is amazingly lightweight and this is a plus because it is mainly for use after a standing shower to take care of other sitting grooming tasks both inside and outside the tub. The one problem I had was that the chair legs were a little wide for my old, standard bathtub. I figured it would fit from the dimensions listed in the sellers ad, as the diameter listed was very close to to the old chairs legs I was replacing. However, since the new legs are angled out somewhat, I believe that the more they were extended to raise the height of the chair, the slightly wider they became. Since the feet do not quite sit flat in the tub I have two choices because I am not giving up this chair. I can buy a set of replacement feet that are trimmed down and not as wide, since the tub itself will keep the chair stable wherever I sit it. Or I can wear out the very nice feet the chair has now with them slightly bending up the curve of the tub when the chair has weight in it, and then replace them later. Whatever...I am not too worried about it. This chair is such an improvement over the one it is replacing that I cannot even take off a star. I just hope by describing the chair leg length and tub diameter issue that others thinking of buying this chair can take what I have said into consideration before purchasing. From other chair reviews I have read it always seems that those of us with bathtubs have a harder time finding the right fit. I paid for my chair myself and was offered an in-ad 20% discount on the price. I have never been gifted or paid by amazon for anything in the decades I have been a customer, including for writing a review. I mostly write reviews for products that I can contribute some unique perspective that might help other shoppers make a better purchase decision.
