> 3 dayUsing as a cache drive in UNRAID. Nothing is overtop of it. And whenever its in use, its hitting 60 degrees Celsius easily before the system has to just pause and wait for it to cool down. I have a heatsink on the way, as it obviously needs it, but I struggle to be optimistic at how much itll help. I have a 120mm fan now leaned on it, and its only made a small difference. I may end up trading it in to get something from a more known (and not cheap) brand if the heatsink doesnt help enough.

10-06-2025I started getting these drives because they are cheaper than the name brands while still delivering the same quality.

> 3 dayComputer is still running, it froze my computer a few times after install but its been a few weeks since a crash, so hopefully its good. Upgraded from a Data drive to this SSD and my computer has never run faster. I had to buy screws as I dont have one. Wish the seller would buy a bunch in bulk and just include one.

> 3 dayThis is a very cheap M.2 SSD. Performance is definitely not as fast as a Samsung EVO or any other upper tier brand, but if you want to throw this into an old or cheap system to make it a bit faster, this is a good choice. HOWEVER: If you want to use Linux on it, get something else. The SSD seems to be unable to be formatted by GParted or any of the Linux distros installers. Ive tried many workarounds assuming it was an issue with the systems I was using, but it is not. Only way to get Linux installed on it is by connecting it to a USB port through an adapter, and only Ubuntu works with that method.

> 3 dayFor right around $20, this a great performing 256GB M.2 SSD. I plugged this card in, and ran a PC benchmark, and it showed that the NVMe Gen 3x4 SSD was running at 206% efficiency. Id say thats pretty darned good. If you need some additional storage, and want to add an M.2 drive, you cant go wrong here.

> 3 dayThis was the first NVMe drive I ever had running at gen 3 speeds which required a heatsink. I am cautiously optimistic because I have found SP SATA SSDs to be quite reliable. But this is a completely different product that runs too hot out of the box. So, I really wont know for a couple of years.
