> 3 dayI looked for a drive to replace my old Transcend (640GB StoreJet M3) after the USB connector failed. A work colleague purchased the SP A60 drive and after looking it over I decided it would be a better replacement for the Transcend based on the device using an actual USB port rather than the flat USB3 connector. In fact that alone was the reason why I would not choose the Transcend again. Other than that, the SP 1TB A60 drive is very nice, the top of the cover can be a little slippery but on the desk it sits firm with the anti-slip pads underneath. I do a lot of international travelling and the drives take a bit of a beating as I go around the world. Ill give it 5 stars in 3 years time :)

> 3 dayGood drive. The only issue I have with this is a design flaw with the way the cord attaches for storage. It attaches by little rubber mujiggers that fit into a groove that goes along the sides of the drive. The problem is that every time I take the cord on or off to use it the stupid rubber thinga mujiggers pop out. Lucky I havent lost them yet.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace my seagate, this one feels good for those thats always on the go. I use this mainly for my music and videos. Its been great. The only knock is that the plastic tabs on each side of it that holds the USB cable keeps coming off and I always have to look for it. That is all.

> 3 dayThis is just a review for the first 2 minutes with the drive. I just want to say that I always feel a little cheated every time total disk capacity is about 5-10% less than the advertised size, but this is the exception. I havent done a data destructive test on it for true capacity (mainly because it takes some time to write 1TB of data) but I might eventually. However, my computer is reporting that the total capacity of the drive is 999.96GB. That is AMAZING! (If it is true). I will leave it at 5 stars unless I have something to add, or it turns out being a bad product in the long run, but I believe SP is a good company.

> 3 dayGreat product. Using it as an external arc drive to store my XboxOne games given that I purchased in of the early consoles with limited space. Does great as you can easily run games off the external hard drive without any hiccups in game play. Can also transfer between the XboxOne hard drive and this one quickly. This hard drive comes with a USB cable that can also be attached to 2 rubber clamps that are attached to the hard drive itself for easy transportation. Since the 4 years I’ve owned this have lost one of the little plastic clamps that keeps the USB attached for easy traveling but not a big deal

> 3 dayI travel for work and cant get myself to break down and get a new laptop, so I shove everything on this drive to save myself from having to watch the eternal spinny wheel of death because my laptop was too full. So far, so good. It arrived quickly (thanks Prime!), works as expected, is lightweight and has that convenient cord-tuck channel so I can always easily find the cable and get connected. Im still freaking out about how small these things are. Being in the music business, I go waaaay back with hard drives and remember when they were the size of a compact car, and cost nearly as much, so maybe Im easily pleased, but still, works great with both of my Macs (older laptop and newer desktop).

> 3 dayVery nice. I was afraid there would be a humming noise but i didnt notice (unless you literally press your ear on it) I was also suspicious of it not getting warm while playing a game off of it but fortunately the answers other gave about it not getting hot were correct. It does not even get warm. I usually place it on my leg and I cant tell it is there. :) The cord fits into the notches on the sides that are removable. While they can come out without much effort they do stay in there just fine. I just just pull the cord out while gently pressing the notch and have never had a problem. I have not tested the shock proof water proof part though...and I am not going to XD

> 3 dayI really needed an external hard drive that was much more durable than your average one. I previously had one that that was too wimpy - it broke just from jostling around a little bit in my book bag even though it was in a separate pocket from everything else! This one definitely seems like it can take a hit and I really like tat its water resistant too. The cord storage is pretty nifty as well. Also, maybe its just been a while since I had my last external hard drive but this is waaaaay faster at transferring files than Im used to too :)
