> 3 dayNo problem with the hard drive!! It comes with a program that can be installed only on a windows pc, the format is in Fat32 and you can use ir with a mac without any problems, very useful to store whatever you want. Talking about the hardshell, it seems to be durable and good quality, ive never tried to throw it, but i hope my disk will survive. Its compatible with time capsule for mac users. Greets!

> 3 daygreat product. I just plugged it into my ps4 and my system detected it, asked me if I wanted to use extended storage and it was set up. Transferred 450gb of data to it in 40 minutes. No sound from it to worry about and makes my system run faster as far as menus go, now that the external hard drive has freed up space for the basic programs to use from the original hard drive. Do not think you will get faster load times I have not really noticed any difference. I had issues with lagging when trying to go to the power off menu or other main menus on the ps4 due to a almost full original 500gb hd this has solved those issues for me. Dont know if others will find the same results but Im thoroughly pleased.

Greater than one weekConstruction is top notch, clearly heavy duty and Im not worried about dropping it or anything. The cord is standard male USB to standard male USB which is a little odd. If you lose it youll have to get a replacement somewhere, and the way it attaches to the drive is a little suspect so I assume Ill probably misplace it at some point in the future. Drive works well with Windows as well as Mac OS

24-11-2024Not a bad purchase at all. This external drive is built to withstand a tank rolling over it. Drop it to your hearts delight, I guess. I couldnt use my Macs Disk Utility to reformat the Armor A60, however. As Im only using it for general data storage, this isnt a big deal for me. It could be for others, for example, those wanting to partition their A60s. Also, the USB connection, while fast, is not as fast (in my subjective opinion) as fast as a SATA connection would be. A plus is that its all ready to go out of the box, without the need to locate online, download, and install drivers (at least for use with my Mac). At the sales price, its a good deal.

> 3 dayLa compré para respaldar mi MacBook Pro, la verdad que si tuve que formatear, porque de otra forma no puedes usarla. Te recomiendo que si estás en la misma situación veas tutoriales de YouTube para esto.

> 3 dayIn my humble opinion, this has got to be the best external USB drive Ive ever had. I used to be biased and only bought WD drives, but even a drop from six inches can render those inoperative. These have had water spilled on them, been hit, been dropped from those six inches, and I still have access to all my data! Yep. A definite recommend on these. I have 2 of them now. Plan on buying a third. This is what happens when your PC has several terabytes of HDD storage.

> 3 dayLove this little drive. I use it for taking files with me and between computers in my house. I like the plug storage, but it doesnt really stay put. I use an elastic band around it to make sure it doesnt fall off in my bag. The unit is very attractive and seems rugged, time will tell. It is thicker than my other external drives at 3/4. Purchased Aug 10 2917 Now July 21 2018 Changed my stars from 5 to 1 So not even a year and it wont show up on my old Win 7 desktop or my new Win 10 laptop. This has never been dropped, taken out of the house or abused in any way. It just seems to have stopped showing up on my computers and I dont even take if from one place to another more than once every 2 or 3 months. It still shows up to disconnect safely but that is all. I was sure it was Win 10 but now know better. Having tried it on 2 other computers. It does make a nice little disco beat when plugging it in and the lite in the drive comes one but that is the end of it. I have had another of these Silicon Power drives and it is still working but then I never move it so who knows what would happen if I did. Update Aug 2018 Well it did fail and I didnt get my information back, but the company did replace the unit. Since I dont use it for anything really important and have more than one back up including another Silicon Power portable HD this wasnt a problem. I still dont have a clue why this happened but I am glad I got a replacement. Although they should have paid for shipping both ways.

> 3 dayI travel for work and cant get myself to break down and get a new laptop, so I shove everything on this drive to save myself from having to watch the eternal spinny wheel of death because my laptop was too full. So far, so good. It arrived quickly (thanks Prime!), works as expected, is lightweight and has that convenient cord-tuck channel so I can always easily find the cable and get connected. Im still freaking out about how small these things are. Being in the music business, I go waaaay back with hard drives and remember when they were the size of a compact car, and cost nearly as much, so maybe Im easily pleased, but still, works great with both of my Macs (older laptop and newer desktop).

> 3 dayRecieved the EHD in a timely manner which I greatly appreciate, upon opening the package i was pleasantly surprised by the sleek look and the quality feel of it. My previous hd had experienced a few minor falls and had developed a clicking noise which led me to buy a new harddrive and i opted for a shockproof one, I dont plan to test their claims on how well it withstands falls but in case it does happen, looking at the armor it has and the solid build I feel like it will do its job well. As to transfer rate speeds, this external harddrive blows anything ive previously owned out of the water. Thank you Silicon Power for another quality product :)

> 3 dayI have had no problems with this. Its functioning as my auto-backup for my computer and works well. The cord holder is kind of gimmicky. It will pop out and its something that my dog would eat without a second thought if he found it on the floor. If you are really into cord systems, this probably isnt a great cord system. I like the fact that there is a rubbery plastic piece that covers the usb plug, which helps to keep out dust and some (maybe) environmental moisture, but it isnt a weather proof seal by any means. This should work fine for people who dont have extreme requirements for their external hard drive. It seems like it would travel well and I like the lime green color.
