> 3 dayI kinda enjoyed it until the cord gave out. I think because the cord is so short caused a shortage or some type defect to wear it doesnt work anymore. Hopefully when my new cord comes tomorrow itll work . fingers crossed

> 3 dayTheres a couple of leds that should indicate at which speed is the disk working, blue for USB3 and red for USB2. The shock resistance of the disk is amazing. Ive not performed any drop tests to see how it handles falling off (obviously) but Im confident that it should withstand your regular accidental drops from a table. No word on the water resistance, which probably isnt precisely great, but should survive to a little bit of light rain. The disk likes to go into sleep mode quite often, which might be a little irritating for sparse access to it. I recommend doing all of your read/writes in one big batch. I guess the disk does it to reduce the risk of shocks causing any damage. The little hooks for the included cable are easy to lose. So, thats a bummer. Overall, it is a good disk for the traveler that, hopefully, wont get soaking wet.

> 3 dayI tried to download several video games using this external hard drive but gives me an error. It says it cannot differentiate between upper and lower case, I have no idea what this means. I am now using it to back up my computer and that is working excellent like it should. It also holds pictures. The only thing that I have had trouble with is trying to download video games which is the reason I purchased this. Great product if you are using it for a back up hard drive.

Greater than one weekGood drive. The only issue I have with this is a design flaw with the way the cord attaches for storage. It attaches by little rubber mujiggers that fit into a groove that goes along the sides of the drive. The problem is that every time I take the cord on or off to use it the stupid rubber thinga mujiggers pop out. Lucky I havent lost them yet.

> 3 dayGreat, it is drop resistant. There is a limit for the size of the file transferred at once, but there are ways around that. I would definitely buy again, but not in the future because I dont enjoy spending money. This was the exception. Pros Has a very nice case around the hardware fast download smaller than I thought Very pleasant experience Plug and literally play Cons Wish it could transfer really big files (it may can, still playing around with it) an internal storage for the usb cable

> 3 daySo i was looking to back up my computer one day to reset and went to back up on my hard drive and guess what hard drive was broken and appeared to be dropped. Boom all that data just gone. I wasnt going to let that happen again so i was looking for a really tuff and rugged hardrive. Something that could take a beating and be some what water resistant . This was buy have the best thing i was looking for at the best price i could find. I use macbook pros and this hard drive was very easy to set up and start backing up files. A60: - Its Fast! - Rugged design, hard plastic casing with soft corner to absorb impact on drop. - Water resistance, which mean splash proof. I did not submerge it in water for this test. - I have dropped this a few times and my child has gotten a hold of it and still works great I use it about every 2 weeks without any wrinkles.

> 3 dayThis is another of those products that provides a straightforward function without clutter. It does not come with elaborate backup software, but I view that as a major plus. A lot of hard drive backup programs are so helpful, they make it almost impossible to do anything except for exactly what the software wants you to do, making it hard for you to exercise some free will on how you use the drive. This drive allows you to use all of the capacity, however you want to use it. If you are just a little bit comfortable using a file manager program, this hard drive provides plenty of space to put your files, and flexibility to do it however you wish. It works flawlessly with just the power from the USB plug, and the included cable is a big plus - no digging around to find it. Luckily I have not had to test any of the ruggedness features, but it certainly appears to be well built and sturdy enough for whatever you throw at it.

> 3 dayEveryones been there. Your PC dies with your saved documents with it. This has happened a few times over the years, What a pain. One of the gals at work suggested buying a portable hard drive. I have to admit, I never thought I needed one. However, the point is compelling; if, for whatever reason I needed to leave the house (fire, lets say), I can grab this ONE thing and shoot out the door. I just saved all my important stuff. I save everything to this drive. No matter what, my stuff is safe. Military Shockproof - Drop protection meets US Military (MIL-STD-810G) Standards, good enough for me, right? Water-Resistant - IPX4 Splash Resistant from all angles for at least 5 minutes, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 - High transferring rate up to 5Gb/sec and backward compatible with USB 2.0; Cable Management Design - Brilliant wrap -around USB 3.0 cable storage design; I like that. Works with PCs and Macs - Share data and files between different platforms, nice, versatile. Best Warranty - 3 years manufacturer warranty. All great points. Im thinking Ill buy one for hubby, too

> 3 dayI needed something a little more up-to-date from a bulky 350gb external drive I was using from an old operating system, and am super glad I went with the Silicon Power A60. Out of the box it was super easy to format, partition, and back up files as I needed with my Mac. Its size and supportive padding make a great lightweight yet incredibly sturdy piece of equipment, as the device itself is just a little bit bigger than an S5 and probably matches the size of a Note phone or other phablet. Definitely go with this HD, it does everything its supposed to do and is damn near impossible to break.
