> 3 dayCan confirm this is all of the things it boasts about... I got this for my friend who has two wild children who have demolished her last 3 external hard drives, so I figured this would be perfect.... But I wanted to test it first... I Put about 10gb worth of assorted files on this little thing, and it transferred more quickly than I anticipated. Then I proceeded to drop it down 3 flights of stairs (slinky style) Still worked fine, only a couple of scuffs, transferred a couple more gigs of stuff, still fast. Then I went to the bathroom and let this thing it in the bathtub submersed for 20 mins(I know it only says water resistant but I figured why not?) dried it off and plugged it in, and success! I couldnt have been more surprised or impressed.

> 3 dayConstruction is top notch, clearly heavy duty and Im not worried about dropping it or anything. The cord is standard male USB to standard male USB which is a little odd. If you lose it youll have to get a replacement somewhere, and the way it attaches to the drive is a little suspect so I assume Ill probably misplace it at some point in the future. Drive works well with Windows as well as Mac OS

> 3 dayIve really had a good time with this drive. Its about the size of my hand, and not very heavy. Fits very easily in my backpack and doesnt take up much space on my desk when its plugged in. I did not have to do anything to make it work for a MAC, I just went straight into using it. I switch between PC and MAC weekly, with no problem whatsoever so far. I took one star off because sometimes it doesnt want to let me eject it, and its not just one computer. It kind of scares me because this information is valuable and I cant afford to lose any of it, but I havent so far. Very nice drive! I would buy it again.

> 3 dayI have had no problems with this. Its functioning as my auto-backup for my computer and works well. The cord holder is kind of gimmicky. It will pop out and its something that my dog would eat without a second thought if he found it on the floor. If you are really into cord systems, this probably isnt a great cord system. I like the fact that there is a rubbery plastic piece that covers the usb plug, which helps to keep out dust and some (maybe) environmental moisture, but it isnt a weather proof seal by any means. This should work fine for people who dont have extreme requirements for their external hard drive. It seems like it would travel well and I like the lime green color.

Greater than one weekAfter my husband passed away suddenly last year I decided to downsize and I moved last summer. A lot of things from our forty two years of marriage ended up in storage and my daughter is doing a phenominal job on doing our family tree, so we are going through pictures. She wanted to scan pictures and save them onto an external hard drive so they all could be together, so she used some of the Amazon Gift Card I got her for Christmas to buy the hard drive. I realized what a great idea that was, so I spent some time on Amazon checking out all the different models and the pros and cons of each. I knew that I wanted 1TB so that narrowed it a bit, and I read tons of reviews on each. What I liked about this one was that it was shock proof, scratch proof etc...I am very careful with my electronics, but everyone drops things occasionally, so I was really interested in what this one had to offer. I liked the way the USB cord wrapped and attached to the Hard Drive Itself. I figured there would be less chance of it getting lost. My daughter put all the pictures we have scanned already on to mine. She said it was fast and worked well. The only negative thing about it and it was not enough to take away a star was that the cord attaches to two clips, one on each side. However the small black clips are not permanently attached to either the hard drive or the USB cord and they fall off quite easily. They fell off the first time a couple of minutes after I took the hard drive out of the box and again when my daughter gave it back to me after adding the pictures. I originally planned not to buy a case, like I usually do for all my electronics, because of the shock proof and scratch proof properties. I decided to get one so that I could be sure that I didnt lose the cord or one of the clips. All the cases come in as different sizes as there are portable hard drives. I took the dimensions of the hard drive from the product page and then compared them with the dimensions of available cases in the price point I wanted to pay and I found an Orico case on Amazon which was reasonably priced. I chose the green color and was surprised when it arrived that it fit the hard drive like a glove and the green almost matched the green edging on the hard drive. I would recommend this portable hard drive because it works very well and has plenty of space for a lot of storage. As I stated, the loose clips to fasten the cord onto the unit does not effect the way the hard drive works, so unless that would be a deal breaker, you could pick up a case and be assured you wont lose the cord.

Greater than one weekSo far, so good. I just wanted to address the cable-clip problem: the clip stay on the cables, by the clips dont stay on the drive unit. Its a bad design, but it doesnt affect the drive at all, duh! I got the frequently bought together Amazon case for, like, 6 bucks, and Ive taken the clips off, put them in the interior pocket with the cable, and everything is still in one place.

Greater than one weekBought for my sons PS4. 3 stars for unknown hard drive brand and didnt pull it out to check. PS4 just says Silicone Power or whatever. Works so far, no issues as yet. 4th star is for the case. I never LOVE on any rating.

> 3 dayI have purchased quite a few Silicone Power shock proof external hard drives and I couldnt be happier with them. They are extremely easy to use, have the perfect amount of storage for what I need them for and the size is very convenient for travel. Plus, I have never had any issues with the ones that have inadvertently got away from me and crashed to the floor. The armor is completely effective. The seller always gets the product out in a timely manner. Even with the current delays in deliveries all over the nation due to Covid-19 and the Christmas season, I received my latest package a day early. They are amazing.

> 3 dayLove this little drive. I use it for taking files with me and between computers in my house. I like the plug storage, but it doesnt really stay put. I use an elastic band around it to make sure it doesnt fall off in my bag. The unit is very attractive and seems rugged, time will tell. It is thicker than my other external drives at 3/4. Purchased Aug 10 2917 Now July 21 2018 Changed my stars from 5 to 1 So not even a year and it wont show up on my old Win 7 desktop or my new Win 10 laptop. This has never been dropped, taken out of the house or abused in any way. It just seems to have stopped showing up on my computers and I dont even take if from one place to another more than once every 2 or 3 months. It still shows up to disconnect safely but that is all. I was sure it was Win 10 but now know better. Having tried it on 2 other computers. It does make a nice little disco beat when plugging it in and the lite in the drive comes one but that is the end of it. I have had another of these Silicon Power drives and it is still working but then I never move it so who knows what would happen if I did. Update Aug 2018 Well it did fail and I didnt get my information back, but the company did replace the unit. Since I dont use it for anything really important and have more than one back up including another Silicon Power portable HD this wasnt a problem. I still dont have a clue why this happened but I am glad I got a replacement. Although they should have paid for shipping both ways.

> 3 dayLa compré para respaldar mi MacBook Pro, la verdad que si tuve que formatear, porque de otra forma no puedes usarla. Te recomiendo que si estás en la misma situación veas tutoriales de YouTube para esto.
