We got this model specifically because the button is raised, even when depressed completely. Our previous air switch was flush, and would sink into the counter top when depressed, which made it difficult to press, and the housing caught all sorts of funky bits. This air switch solves those problems nicely, and it matches our Kohler Malleco touchless faucet/soap dispenser well.

We moved in to our newly constructed home 3.5 years ago. I was disappointed that the originally installed air switch for the disposal failed so quickly. After removing it and looking at the design it was apparent that the thickness of the counter top pushed the attachment nut very near the bottom. With the original assembly being plastic the central tube failed via low cycle fatigue. Given that failure mode I wanted to replace the plastic with metal. I was very happy to find this item that is fully metal. It is also longer than the original plastic switch so there is plenty of thread engagement with the nut. Installation was easy and it works great. Well worth the money.

I discovered this reading other reviews. I didn’t want buttons on my new marble. So the air switch is in the toe kick. Love it. My electricians were fascinated with the idea and have been telling other clients. It’s very easy to press to turn on and then off. Love it.

Quality appears to be very good. We LOVE the way this pops up from the counter instead of being flush. our last one was flush and crap was always spilling or falling into the inlet. This one is awesome and looks the part. Very heave duty feeling and we could not be more pleased. Not an issue at all yet and simple to install. The switch section is also small so it does not interfere under the cabinet as much as many.
