> 24 hourThis worked perfectly for my desktop. Note: windows doesnt automatically format, so once installed you have to go into windows partitions and format it.. and itll be ready to go. Will be purchasing a few more for my other computers.

> 24 hourI havent tested this NVME yet, so basing this review on other reviews (hence 4 stars). Its a good product, no doubt about it. However, they put up updated pictures of it, which no longer portray a green PCB, and yet, I received a green one instead of the advertised black. Not huge a deal, but still annoying, because the damn green sticks out.

> 24 hourI purchased the 500GB model to replace the Samsung Pro 960 512GB model in my laptop because they run insanely hot and under sustained load the controller routinely hit 90+ and 4k R/W were throttling down to ~10-15%. Even adding a thermal pad only did so much and throttling still was a problem.

> 24 hourI picked up this one because it was on sale and not knowing it is not compatible with MacOS. I tried it on several NVMe 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 enclosures but the SSD fails to be recognized by my Macbook Pro (running the latest MacOS Big Sur 11.3.1). It remains undetected by the Disk Utility, so there is no way to initialize it.

> 24 hourI love that this company is eco conscious. Were destroying the environment for these rare Earth metals and whatnot but at least Sk Hynix has bio-degradable packaging. That sounds like Im being sarcastic but I actually do appreciate their effort.

> 24 hourI have the hymix p31 gold and the evo 970 plus ..both 500gb...The are neck in neck as far as benchmarks BUT the hynix blows away the samsung as far as iops by almost achieving its factory rating while with the samsung, the iops are about half of their claim, especially the read iops..The other area the hynix far exceeds the evo is temps... it runs wayy cooler as in 20c cooler than the samsung..it barely gets warm with a heatsink on it. Lastly and sadly, it will Not in any way work in a mac...at all.. it will prevent mac from booting, even if u have a working mac drive installed...the hynix will cause a kernel panic over driver issues and firmware...i tried everything and its a pity becuz I was going to choose it over the evo after comparing both but I want to use it to dual boot windows and mac and while it works sweet in win 10, its a no go for any mac use...I checked everywhere for firmware updates for the hynix becuz i have a limited window to try and then return it...no joy.. noone mentions it although hynix has acknowleged that its incompatible with mac..they offer no fix.. what a shame.. it will probably have a firmware update but I may have to return mine b4 that.. Im not gonna keep it Hoping that hynix will fix the issue later.

> 24 hourGood SSD for the price. I have one with higher xfer speeds I use for gaming, so I use this one mainly for storage (but its fast enough for gaming too). Ill likely buy another for my last open slot.

> 24 hourWorked great for awhile... Now its slower than my 10 year old WD Blue 2TB. Went from 200/300 MB/s read/write transfer with my Internal Samsung EVO SSD To under 40MB/s over the last month. I can get a tiny bit more speed by only using USB-C, but its useless when transferring files to a PC that only has USB 3.0 Type A connector.
