This stuff is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend using this product on your leather goods! I bought a sand colored headstall on EBay, when it arrived I noticed that is was extremely dry. I used Skidmore’s leather cream on it, and it not only brought the leather back to life and made very pliable it also revived its natural color of a nice chestnut. I have used this product on all my tack and saddles and can’t be more happy with the results! It’s hard to find a leather product that actually lives up to its claims, this product goes above and beyond! Will buy the 1ld tub from now on!!!

This does a great job of conditioning leather. We had an old jacket that was dried out and this aided us in restoring it. Its not new, of course, but it looks so much better and has new life in it. We couldnt get it looking good with the other conditioner we tried, but this got it looking pretty nice again. Good luck in your search.

Smells great. All natural. And it conditions the leather beautifully.

I use Skidmore products on all of my leather stuff to include Kenetreck boots, saddles, and tack. Skidmores doesnt change the color but definitely brings out the color. The leather becomes more pliable and the water doesnt seem to effect the leather. I recommend it.

I use on our motorcycle boots, gloves, saddle bags, seats and luggage. Keeps them looking new and keeps them waterproof. I highly recommend Skidmores.

I have used this product for about 2 months now on many different leather goods. Boots, wallets, key chains, dog collars, belts, knife sheaths and other miscellaneous items I have made. I wipe down the outside, rub a generous amount in by hand, let sit a few minutes then wipe off the excess. To apply the wax I rub a small amount in by hand then buff off the excess with a clean rag. If it’s an outdoor or heavily used product I will warm up the leather after applying the wax to let it soak in and improve the waterproofing. At this point I’ve used 4 leather creams and waterproofing oil/wax products. These products are a good balance between all of them. I highly doubt I’ll purchase anything else because of the quality and ease of use with Skidmore’s leather cream and waterproofing wax. These products make my leather goods that much better! I hope this review and the examples help you make your decision. Thanks! P.S. The leather used above is cheaper ($4-5 sq ft) veg tanned that is dyed dark brown. The wallet was treated new with both products 2-3 months ago and used daily. It has developed a nice sheen From the wax but was never tacky even at first application.

I have several pairs of leather boots and shoes, plus gloves. Four times a year I make it a point to clean and treat them all - one pair of winter boots is going on 25 years old. I tried the cream on two pairs of shoes and a pair of boots. The cream goes a long way. I prefer applying with my bare hands because I can work the product in everywhere and theres nothing absorbed into the cloth. After a few minutes I wiped off the cream. On split leather it darkens it - I expected that. On finished leather it leaves the leather glossy and slick, like it was just polished. Theres a slightly unpleasant odor that lasts a couple of days. The oils had separated from the cream and I had to stir it in before using. I used the sealer on one pair of boots and one pair of shoes. I brush-cleaned both pairs first. I applied the wax with my fingers and worked it into both pairs. Then I heated them with a blow-dryer and worked in the wax some more. Both pairs look really nice and are 100% waterproof. The wax does darken most leathers. The blow dryer melts the wax into the threads and really helps the leather absorb the wax. But the scent of this wax is really strong, right out of the can. I actually had to stop after applying it to the first pair and switch rooms. My eyes were watering. I love the product but can do without the scent.
