Skylanders Spyros Adventure: Whirlwind

Whirlwind is an exclusive character at this point at Target and Drill Sargent is an exclusive character at this point at Wal-Mart. There is no reason to spend more than the $7.99 price for individual Skylander characters (or $19.99 for the 3 character packs or the adventure expansion packs) as they are available at this point at brick and mortar retail. Amazon has the retail pricing on many of the items but not Whirlwind and Drill Seargent due to the exclusive tie-ins. Toys R US and Best Buy also have exclusive items that are only sold in there stores. This same online overpricing (above retail) occurred when Black Swan had a Target exclusive Blue Ray / DVD / Digital copy package and they inflated it dramatically online as the only option to buy it at retail was at Target .. dont fall for items selling online above the retail MSRP pricing!!

My daughter often favors this Skylander. She likes the texture and size of the wings more than the others. I just think it looks pretty :)

My kids got Skylanders for Christmas and they really enjoy it. Whirlwind was purchased for my daughter so she could have a girly character to play.

Anything Skylanders was a hit for my son. He loved having another character. The item was cheaper and the same quality as the local stores.

I bought this item for my grandson for Christmas. He loves playing with the different characters on his Wii game system.

My husband and I both love this game, its a great one to play with the kids. Weve been dying to get our hands on a Whirlwind but just couldnt stomach the thought of $125 (the highest price we saw) for an $8 figure. We did some research and Whirlwind is releasing in all stores January 16th. Single and in a triple pac with Drill Sgt and Double Trouble. The remaining 10 characters, and 2 more adventure packs are releasing over the next 9 months, most between now and June. Save your money, and keep checking your local stores.

This all reminds me of the tickle me elmo thing. People that buy up stuff like this and then sell for huge prices are heartless... I dont care if people do this kind of thing with stamp or coin collections or things that are truly supposed to have a high worth collection wise. But to some having to tell their children Im sorry your christmas is ruined because of some scalper type person just disgusts me. You are making it so that normal children with blue collar parents are excluded from characters from a game... how ridiculous and selfish is that. Hope you never sell this.
