> 3 dayMy kids are almost seven and five and they LOVE this game!! My sister recommended it and we just had to try. Were big card and board gamers. Plus the anniversary edition is so worth the price bc you get extra cards.

> 3 dayWe played this game while on vacation with family. We had so much fun with it that we decided we needed it in our collection. The game is easy enough for kids who can do simple addition and fun enough for adults to play with them. The 10th Anniversary edition has a few more kings and queens than the regular edition.

> 3 dayOur daughter received this as a present from her uncle and she loves it! We do too..and so do all the kids on the block. A great game that teaches them to think before they act.

Greater than one weekWe can’t sing enough wonderful praises of this game. We play it SO much in our home and teach it to many friends and family that come over. Don’t be fooled by the age range - our 4 year old is totally capable and loves this game. Highly recommend for parents looking for game they will equally enjoy with their kids.

> 3 dayIt’s nice to have a game that is easy enough for younger kids to play without being completely tortuous for older siblings and adults (looking at you candy land and chutes and ladders). The four year old picked up the actions and counter actions for the special cards as well as the few queens who have different attributes easily. It doesn’t really hurt the game if you have to help younger ones do the addition to discard number cards either. She usually just keeps her number cards from her hand face up on the table so we can help with the math when she’s chooses to discard those instead of playing any special cards in her hand. She’s able to play independently enough that we can all carry on a conversation while playing like in a normal card game. The cards are colorful and decent quality (slippery when new like most playing cards) and the kings and queens are each unique and interesting enough to keep kids wanting to play through the game. The game moves along quickly and you can also adjust the win conditions to suit your family and time available. We usually opt to play one longer game by having it end when all the queens have been awakened and whoever has the most queens wins. The instructions also have other suggestions such as stopping when someone has woken up 5 queens or adding up the point values printed on the queen cards with winner being whoever gets to 50 points first, etc. Since there is some light adding involved it’s a good game to help kids keep practicing those number skills without the whole game being focused around the math. You can choose to have the adding be more or less strenuous to suit the various ages without being too boring for older people.
