Greater than one weekBut not sure how they will hold up. At face value, they dont appear to be extremely sturdy and the adhesion is ok. If someone really wanted in/out of the door, Im confident they could break them without a lot of effort. Fairly easy to pop out the lock for security.

> 3 dayWe moved into an apartment that had a Juliet balcony that just so happened to be our six year olds room. And me, being the cynical mother I am could not sleep knowing my baby had access to a sliding door that could lead to her doom. But thankfully I came across this little contraption! It’s easy to place and keeps the door from being opened by little ones. Baby secured! The only pitfall, which is also what makes it so sturdy. It’s damn near impossible to remove! So not necessarily a renters best friend but it’s worth it to keep the little ones from attempting to fly.

> 3 dayThese are so easy to use. My 97 year old wheelchair bound grandmother likes to leave the back door open and the cats kept getting out, so we got this to help keep the door closed. It keeps the cats in, and helps keep her safe!

Greater than one weekTo easy for my child to open. We thought that you had to push the buttons on the sides to get it pushed down. That is not the case. You have to push the buttons to make the lock pop up. Oh my son has to do is go and push it in and the door is open.

23-04-2025I was pretty surprised at how simple this sliding door lock was. Its just a spring loaded wedge that you stick directly onto the stationary door. I didnt think that it was slim enough for the sliding door to pass by, but it worked out just fine. I have it adhered to a glass door and the 3M tape seems to be holding fine. I wonder if time/heat will cause any issues. I know that its strong enough to handle toddler strength, but I feel I need to be extra careful because repeated forceful attempts at opening the door could cause the lock to come off. Luckily this is a 5 pack, so if any of those issues come up later on down the road I have it covered. It is pretty simple, but works out great and doesnt require any real installation.
